  1. Any chance this case getting aired out in public will make Meat-Chicken laws up for change or... nah?
  2. Did you recently move out here or is your wife looking to either get hired by DSISD or does she already work for our district? & FYI, if Thaddeus Fortenberry & / or Joanna Day don't get elected come Tuesday, your petition is as good as muerte. The other two running (Olivia & Tricia) are as GQP as anyone you can find & are probably trying tostarve the district into eliminating pretty much ALL public education.
  3. FYI, @Xminus6 did my logo years ago & also an update around 1 year ago. Nothing against the other suggestions however his work was timely & the price was not a burden. *This was back in the HornFans days.
  4. Well, we don't have any evidence to know if the wife is a Fox, Minx or Weasel.
  5. On your house? Or generic to C.P.?
  6. What about... I came out of Home Depot & someone f'd up the front of my truck (grille guard is mooshed in enough to prevent me from opening the hood, so by the time of my next oil change I need to get this shit figured out) & put part of the Ranch Hand guard into the driver's fender. Paint was already screwy (got the truck used), so whatevs on that part. I didn't even get the "Hey, I hit your truck & I'm not actually leaving any info here but that old lady was watching me, so I'm putting a rando piece of paper under your wiper blade so she will just leave & won't rat me out" type thing. Uninsured motorist? What's the deal here? I'm guessing this is gonna mean (at best) 1 fender & maybe new brackets for the Ranch Hand. At worst, maybe $ 4,500 or so? Truck is a 2004, however it's a Cummins & I've seen shitboxes like me advertised on Facebook in the Dodge Ram groups for $ 12,500 or more.
  7. When I was around 10 years old, I had picked up this affectation. It was a sorta "natural" thing that just flowed like saying "Hi" to someone you pass in the grocery store aisles. I didn't even notice it, even if I didn't really ever have those sorta ideas in my head. I'd rather go with "There's humans, & then there's assholes."
  8. While I cannot personally speak for Governor Hotwheels, IMO having to look @ this would definitely not induce me to get a Woodrow Wilson: Then again, Marguerite wasn't exactly a bombshell either: (mistress to FDR)
  9. Besides, you *really* want to giver her the meat, yeah?
  10. 17 year old girl. Insisted on doing pretty much everything to her taste & not what would "wow" the various judges. I would LIKE to say that we had a "bonding" moment, however she spent the whole time telling me "I know - I know... just let me do it MY way!" HEB Pink Salt & Medley Pepper (from a grinder), No chips, no wood, no smoke, no sauce, no baste. 2 Chops, select your preferred of the ones they provided. Turn in was stated as "1030... can be up to 10 minutes earlier, 10 minutes later" (which to me essentially says 1040, but whatever). I tried to get her to wrap in foil for the walk to the judges tent & @ 1028... down to the wire... @ the last moment, slip it out & onto their foil (to keep as much moisture inside as was possible) however she refused that for whatever reason her brain came up with. I mean, shit... I've only been doing this Cookoff Committee thing for 17 years now, what do I know? Didn't place in the top 5 out of 32 contestants. That's all I know. I really do wish it was more of a "daughter & dad" thing, but essentially I was on hand because I had to be there vs. her going at it solo.
  11. It's gonna cost a lot less to hire a skank for 10 minutes.
  12. OK, then... Rager hot coals & pull around 135 - 137. 3 minutes per side? Down to the last 12 hours here... check in is @ 1030.
  13. Seems she is on this process / schedule: Bring coal basket that we already use in my Weber. Olive oil as binder Salt & pepper from grinder (Trried to get her to add some maple sugar or garlic or onion powder... refuses) Rager of coals (provided, must use theirs). She isn't interested in ANY wood (chips, chunks, etc). Cannot get her interested in any sauce. I have explained that she needs to cook to the projected judges tastes & not her own, however she won't listen to that. . . . . . . . . . . 15 seconds on side 1, rotate 90⁰... Another 15 seconds with turn 15 seconds on side 2, rotate 90⁰... Another 15 seconds with turn . . . . . 3 minutes on side 1 3 minutes on side 2 Probe for 165⁰ Pull, wrap in foil. Grand total of around 7 minutes. If turn in is 1230, aim for turn in @ ~1227. Put on the fire around 1215, folloq the sched. from above & pull @ 1222, wrap in our own foil & walk it to the judging tent. Transfer at the very last moment out of our heavy duty foil into THEIR required foil & hand it in. Sent from my SM-A326U1 using Tapatalk
  14. I imagine all cuts will be totally cold by the time the judges receive the meat. A reverse would be interesting, however I don't know if a frying pan is permitted / have to use the provided grill only. I am bringing heavy duty foil to wrap & hold moisture as best as possible. 15. Had some tonight, jackass. Doing another set on Wednesday & then again on Thursday. Tonight was HEB's pink Himalayan salt & pepper medley off the grinder, light EVOO. We used the basket thingies that came with my Weber, will bring them to the dealio & see if we are permitted to use them. No sauce (she doesn't like any), no wood chips - direct on B&B Oak Lump. I got some Cherrywood chips however she is being a 17 year old & doesn't seem to even want me in the same county.whe this is cooking. 20 Seconds on 1 side, turn 90⁰. 20 more for grill marks. Flip over, again with 20 seconds & another 20 seconds, etc. 5 minutes direct, then flip for 4 minutes. Another 4 in the cold side & w/ the fatter part towards the heat. Probed & came to 160⁰. Will prob. go with one less 4 minute session or maybe hit that direct over heat down to 2 minutes from the 5 minutes. Sent from my SM-A326U1 using Tapatalk
  16. We don't get this as an option. . . . . . . . . . I will probably also bring olive oil as a binder. Something else to consider is how thin or thick the individual slices of pork chop are going to be so that all of the judges can get a taste. I do not know how many judges there will be & if the seasoning will actually get through as a "tasted" flavor... that will partially depend on how thick they slice it (or if WE get to slice it). I was thinking of doing a "smashed" seasoning where the olive oil is applied, seasoning added & then put it between two cutting boards & sit on the top to get the seasoning into the meat & to hold a bit better. Should we baste @ the last part with maybe 5 minutes of direct grilling? 10 minutes? How long to actually put on the cool zone but still stay warm? Will it end up totally cool by the time it reache the judging tent? Lots to consider here. Sent from my SM-A326U1 using Tapatalk
  17. ITEMS NEEDED ITEMS PROVIDED BY BBQ AUSTIN: Charcoal BBQ Pit Official BBQ Austin Jr. Pit Master Apron Pork chop JR. COOKER WILL NEED TO PROVIDE: Cooking Utensils- such as Tongs, spatula, brush etc. BBQ Rub BBQ Sauce Apron (if you do not want to get your Pit Master apron dirty) Gloves or Hand Wipes Foil Table/ TV Tray (small table to set your supplies on) Additional charcoal, wood chips, etc. after using ALL supplied, if necessary . . . . . . . . No pics of the contestant, you degenerates! 1. Let's recognize this needs to win over the judges & I'm not suggesting she cook to her tastes. 2. My preferred rub has maple brown sugar, salt, pepper, paprika, some garlic powder & onion powder. - - I'm not 100% locked on that... can adjust as needed. Ideas? 3. I was gonna pre-soak some wood chips & bring that as well. 4. The chops supplied are usually decently thick, like ¾ ~ 1". Suggested cooking temp for juicy but not undercooked / not dry / won't scare off someone who thinks even a TINY amount of pink will kill ya? - - - Suggested cooking time? I don't want to have 30 pinholes from testing the temperature a stupid amount, hope to have the meat tested often enough BUT not start checking way too early. We intend to GO FOR THE GOLD & will serve with USB ports added + write her initials on the Styro in an attempt to influence the judges. . . . . . . . . . . . Any assistance is appreciated. . . . . . . . . . . . https://rodeoaustin.com/events/bbq-austin/junior-pit-master-contest/ Sent from my SM-A326U1 using Tapatalk
  18. Send me a PM & I'll sign up to do support for your team. Are y'all paired with Dirty Swamp? It's difficult to keep up, especially since we had an off year. Sent from my SM-A326U1 using Tapatalk
