  1. 2. What makes it so beautiful is when you watch it on the replay, the 220 lb blitzing linebacker completely obliterates the right guard and knocks him five yards backward, landing on his ass while at the same time the DT puts a spin move on the center, Foster, that leaves him whiffing and grabbing at air. Complete and total domination of the interior of the aggy line by MSU on the most critical play of the game.
  3. Really good breakdown of some of the key plays from the game
  4. Going to Kochi next month. Did you do the 6 or 9 course, and would you have picked the other based on your experience with the one you went with? Also, did you do the Sool pairing, and if so, do you think it was worth it over bringing a couple of bottles?

I've had it and I agree with the assessment. It's good, but very much overpriced. With that said, that's a damn fine gift.
  6. It's excellent, and I would definitely recommend it. However, they don't allow corkage (if that matters to you).
  7. @PenelopeWitherspoon I'm planning an October trip and looking at some new restaurants I haven't yet tried. Any chance you've been to any of these... Atomix Uchu Yasada Odo Tempura Matsui Cote

Just finished a trip to Croatia and found some really good wines that are great values. Unfortunately they’re almost impossible to find unless you’re there. If you’ve never heard of BIBICh, it’s worth learning about.

It was fantastic, in its prime, but also has enough in the tank to drink well for the next 20-30 years. We tasted all of them blind and it tied for 3rd in our group, with the Ducru and Penfolds ahead. That’s a tough lineup, though, and the third place finisher is still a damn good bottle.

All 4 bottles were excellent and the LLC was the favorite of our group. I’ve also had the LLC several times and to me it’s been consistently very, very good, even when next to some of the 82 first growths.

  15. Be sure to leave that awesome fat in your skillet and cook some eggs in it in the morning.

If the DRC is the real thing, I'd be interested in buying it if he's trying to sell it.

You can’t go wrong with Cristal. The 2008 and 2009 vintages are outstanding, in your price range, and you should be able to find it at Specs/Total Wine/Twin Liquors.
