  1. I was listening to my Blue Murder vinyl today. Fuck.

I advise all to listen to that first record.  Outside of the horribly titled and not aged well Sex Child, this record is awesome.

Sykes' flaw for this album was their single selections. Valley of the Kings is awesome but not the best choice of first single and jelly roll was good but not the song they needed out. The Blue Murder or Black Hearted Woman singles would have been a better start. Then follow with Out Of Love for the power ballad and then Valley. Would have had far more traction and success IMO. Ptolemy is my favorite song on the album and it's a real heavy one.

Hilo area is good to use as a base for visiting Volcanoes NP, but it sounds like you're already staying somewhere near VNP for a night.  VNP is a must-see, esp. now that it's apparently erupting again.

But there are enough sights in the Hilo area to fill up at least a day.  Rainbow Falls, Boiling Pots, and the area around Wailuku River, Akaka Falls, and the the Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden are all worthwhile IMO.  I'm not a big botanical garden fan in general, but that one was definitely worth it.  The farmers market in Hilo is supposed to be pretty cool, but I don't think it was going on the days we were there.  I think 2 nights and a day in Hilo is about right.

A couple other must-sees for me on the Big Island would be Mauna Kea (make sure you acclimate for 1+ hours while at the Visitors Center before driving to the summit) and Waipi'o Valley.  We did the Waipio Valley Shuttle tour with the company that takes you down into the valley, and we found that to be very worthwhile.

The farmers market is awesome. Avocados the size is butternut squash. Fresh mango,  papaya,  leechi, dragon fruit...among others

That's the problem with the rule. Everyone thinks they know what targeting is but the way it's called is so arbitrary that no one really knows even when they are "100% sure that's targeting". It needs to be something that's rarely called and only in absolute circumstances that it's so blatantly obvious that a defender is being completely dangerous. It's also ridiculous that it is added as something that's look at when not ruled on the field. The point of replay is supposed to correcting egregious calls, not trying to litigate down to the pixel and assume the intent of a player. It's a stupid rule and it's a stupid rule that morons who claim to be rules experts can't even justify at times based on the rules. There were numerous dumbass rules experts and commentators declaring the certainty of the atrocity of the Taaffe non-call. It's yet another issue college football needs to tackle but doesn't have anyone at the top to do an adequate job of.

Yet they can change a rule mid season (Oregon 12th penalty) but can't ever get this.  HATE targeting.  Headhunting has been effectively coached out from the sport but targeting impacts bang bang plays where the reactions are fractions of a second and the defender is put in a tough spot to make a play.

Fuck rules "experts". They forget probably most important part of the rule....intent.

Quinn is a very good college QB who has led our team to the two greatest seasons we have experienced in twenty years. He deserves all the fucking flowers we can throw his way. He also has the chance to improve his draft stock tremendously over the next few days/weeks. And we are all rooting for that to happen.

That being said, he’s been tremendously frustrating at times. He’s fragile and gets hurt a lot. He’s been hesitant at critical times. He’s been inaccurate with his deep ball when his WRs have been open.

It’s definitely time to move on to Arch, as Quinn has had three seasons to show what he can do, especially when you consider he was a consensus #1 overall player in his class. Something that even Arch cant claim (because Rivals are fucking dipshits).

He’s gonna have options and I hope he chooses the one that’s best for him and whatever he prioritizes. That might be NFL opportunities or with another college team.

Regardless, I’ll always fucking love the dude because of what he gave to this team, and what he might be able to do while he’s still on the team.

    Fucking hook em, morherfuckers.

That might be the nicest thing you have ever said. Booze must be flowing.

No argument out of me, Turnstiles, imo, is a really good, underappreciated album.

I would not consider myself a Billy Joel fan however an older friend gave part of her record collection and The Stranger was in there. I put it on and was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed it.

I had to look up his stats because I have been hearing the same thing all year, but never saw the production. In 12 regular season games he had 318 scrimmage yards or 26.5/game.

For comparison, Colin Page played in 5 regular season games and had 19.8/game.

I think one play accounted for 1/5th of the yards against mcneese and the legend was born.

He's like Zach branch with even less highlights to go with the hype.
