  1. Well, that intersection isn't occurring here so nothing to applaud. Its a straight up pork failure. Even though Israel will absolutely make it work for themselves, we won't look to them for a fix. Instead, we'll funnel another few billion dollars toward our own "fix." I'm sure someone will applaud it when it happens. I find it better to applaud events like when Boeing threw a hissy fit about a 300 million dollar loan and 1 billion dollar investment that Canada made to "subsidize" Bombardier. Meanwhile, Boeing takes in 22 billion a year from the DoD alone in a bad year. If anything, Bombardier deserved an actual subsidy in order to be able to compete in a market with 2 giants that are mostly state funded. At least Quebec got an ownership stake for their investment. Euro nations have an ownership stake in Airbus. In the US, companies like Boeing just take. They never give back. We privatize profit, and subsidize loss. I don't really fault them for taking advantage of that fact. We are at fault. If Nintendo handed me a game system that didn't work, I'd send that shit back and get my money back. They, like Lockheed and Boeing, are a private company.
  2. Don't remember anyone saying that. Trump is the MIC's wet dream. He will give them all the money of a Reagan-Bush Republican without any need for them to actually hit benchmarks or deliver a working product. That being said, Boeing is getting plowed because they tried to pull the same shit in the civilian aircraft market, and it predated Trump. We should just steal the F35I schematics. They aren't unhappy with the airframe. Israel has actual national security in mind while we are more concerned with pork.
  3. Its okay. Lockheed is gonna trickle down 2 or 3 dollars per million to the rest of us. Maybe they will hire an unemployed restaurant worker or two. Corporate welfare is definitely working.
  4. The NBA bubble is an actual bubble. It isn't really a shining example of how to do things nor is it a return to normal. No family is allowed in the bubble until after the first round of the playoffs. Nowhere else can emulate that because nowhere else is paying employees enough to make them consider moving into their office and live away from their families for 2 months. Overall though, we do need increased testing efforts, and we need social distancing and mask mandates if we want to get this under control.
  5. Don't think it even matters. There are some checks that the Senate can implement with a simple majority, but if Trump tries the things I expect him to try, we will need 2/3 of the Senate to truly check him. At any rate, a flipped Senate will cause Mitch to push everything through in December. If he holds the Senate, everything will get pushed through in January. Its really only a matter of timing. Either way, the Dems will never have 2/3 so when Trump openly sells state secrets to Putin in exchange for a Moscow mansion, only Dems+Romney will vote for his removal.
  6. There's no way that misogynistic family allows a female monarch. Donald Sr loves to look at and touch Ivanka, but he gives her husband all the actual work.
  7. You think Eric is just going to let Don Jr take over? Although I guess Jr's sons are higher in the line of succession than Eric too, so he will have his work cut out for him.
  8. In I am Legend, how long did it take for vaccinated people to become zombies? A year or two?
  9. If he loses, the roughly 2 and a half months between election day and inauguration day will be some of the most dangerous in our nation's history. If the checks and balances continue to fail miserably at their job during that time period, he can do an insurmountable amount of lame duck damage during that time.
  10. Also In Living Color was the sketch comedy show. Living Colour was the band. They probably heard that all the time though. How did you even know the guitarist's name? The only one I could pick out of a lineup or know their name is Corey Glover.
  11. Just toss it in the East River.
  12. Totally normal for relatives to sign NDAs. My toddler nephew already signed his. His grandparents can't stand him either. Also totally normal for grandparents to hate their grandchild.
  13. He will absolutely confirm someone in the lame duck session. He has already stated publicly that he would rush an appointment through, confirming that he is not a man of his word. Nobody bought that bullshit "stand" he made on Garland anyway.
  14. It seems good in theory. And I think the aggregation of obscene wealth by a few is a huge problem in this country. However, how is it possible structurally? A 3 cent wealth tax on Bezos would be 5 billion dollars. I doubt he has that much available in cash. So he is going to sell assets to pay the tax. If that happens to be stock, that sale is probably going to negatively affect the stock price.
  15. If they really wanted to prove the point, they should take the catalytic converter off the red truck. Put one set of people in an enclosed room with the blue truck for 20 minutes. Another set in an enclosed room with the red truck for 20 minutes. Then see who likes emissions regulations better.
  16. No need to sharpen them.
  17. Maybe. Shitload of anti-vaxxers among them. Plus the vaccine will have Bill Gates nanites in it. Do you want your brain to blue screen of death?
  18. Fuck that dude. He should have gotten it instead of his son.
  19. She's right. Also, that is surprisingly low considering the value of Disney. She must have gotten fucked over.
  20. I think it will happen differently. You are focusing on them complaing about nonexistent fraud. Instead, they are going to commit it. They are going to go through Democratic absentee voter rolls and submit Trump votes. If the voter doesn't actually vote, the Trump vote counts. If the voter votes, both votes are tossed out.
  21. Well, you can't fault him for taking some deserved recreation time. He solved the Israel-Palestine conflict. He will solve covid too.
  22. Not just the point man. I hear he's developing a vaccine himself. He's been in the lab for weeks now.
  23. Huh? This is clearly going to be Barr's DOJ like it has been for all the other traitorous shit so far. FL's state agencies will play the same game. Also any of those swing states that currently has a teetering Republican statehouse.
