  1. Trump himself won't have anything to sell or give away. Putin doesn't want to hear Trump talk nonsensically about fancy new spy drones. He doesn't even care about Trump's personal account of top secret meetings because he knows that Trump's account is always bullshit. He wants specs. He wants meeting minutes. If anyone has been stockpiling real info, its Ivanka and Jared, not dotard.
  2. This. He isn't setting himself up to not run. He is setting himself up to blame others for the loss. Claiming the election is stolen will be his primary tactic. Stepping aside will simply never happen.
  3. How long do we normally let traitors who had access to highly classified information hang out in Russia? At least past traitors had access to mostly siloed info. The Trumps will be selling everything to the highest bidder. They'll be like one of those Mission Impossible enemies. That type of shit can only end one way.
  4. Prison. If he dies, all the bullshit will be swept under the rug. It all needs to be exposed to the light of day.
  5. Its like Sun Tzu said. Never interrupt your enemy when he is shooting himself in the dick.
  6. Thats why his 3 month lame duck period is going to be the biggest shitshow on earth. It will start with a full on assault on the election results. One that Mitch will gladly tolerate. It will end with a family vacation to a non-extradition country.
  7. There is zero chance he drops out. Its an impossibility.
  8. For the GOP, its about maintaining tyrannical minority control of the Senate.
  9. Aren't the Stormy type NDAs tied to payments? I was under the impression that the damages for breach were returning the received hush money. More interesting to me are the ones that require crime witnesses or victims to stay silent. Maybe Weinstein's fall under this category. I would think they would be completely unenforcable.
  10. Texas was more like Italy. Japan killed around 8 million Chinese civilians in a crimes against humanity fashion. Japan was also completely destroyed, moreso than Germany. Tokyo was practically erased from the map.
  11. Did I? Might want to take a look at her again. She is pretty though.
  12. Lol. 5 games. It isn't that you're fairweather, it's that you are a "brand" fan. Like any Lakers fan outside of LA. Or Cowboys fans outside of Texas. The Yankees can and often do suck but are still a brand. Or Jordan's Bulls, the one time when brand and fairweather collided. I've seen somewhere between 20 and 30 games in Yankee Stadium. Still not a fan. I have also seen over 100 games in Shea/Citi. At some point, I will have seen more games at Shea/Citi than at the Dome if I haven't already. I went to about 20 games a year at the dome from age 5 to 20, and watched nearly every game. But those childhood games count for like 100 each. Especially when its your hometown team. And although I have lived in NY for 20 years, I'm from Houston. I am a Houston fan and always will be. I now am also a grudging fan of the Mets because my 6 year old tells me, "I like to go to the games, but the TV is boring. You like the Astros. I like the Mets." But she is from NY. I'm not. Sports fanship has always been about location. 90% of us are UT fans because we went there. Having written that, if my daughter becomes a real baseball fan in the next few years, I can now see the potential for me actually pulling for a Mets victory in some future Mets-Astros world series. Luckily the Mets will still Mets so future me and 1986 me don't tear apart the space time continuum.
  13. I guess that depends. Was it in the package still? Foul balls still got hit with the bat, if you know what I mean.
  14. Big title. Big pay. No work. Hey, its a good gig if you can get it.
  15. Fuck anyone that worked for Trump. Bolton wrote a book. It will sell. And the fucker is worse than Trump in a lot of ways. He was the old kind of evil shitbag that actually had true beliefs. Shitty as they were, they were true. Trump introduced a whole new level of evil shitbag. It isn't that Trump wants to kill all Muslims or all Mexicans. Its that he really doesn't give a shit at all about anything either way. Bolton blew him so Bolton got his evil plans in Trump's ear for awhile. Who is the bigger traitor? The clearly incompetent asshat that loves hearing his name and will do whatever you tell him to do if you tell him he is the greatest, or the guy that whispers sweet nothings and praise into his ear so that he can turn him?
  16. Perhaps all these executive orders lately have you forgetting the requirements for an amendment. In the end, Corwin would have been worse than Crittenden. At least Crittenden was narrowly tailored and would have been undone later. Lincoln was an appeasement President before he was a wartime President. Nobody doubts that. And yes, they wanted to be independent....wait for it.....so they could maintain slavery. Yes, @Hugo Stiglitz, they were white supremacists too. Good guys all around. I get that people want to be proud of where they are from. What I don't get is why people feel the need to apply that to the confederacy. You aren't from the confederacy. It was a short lived failed nation. You are from your individual state and the United States. The confederacy was bad. Slavery is bad. White supremacy is bad. Had the confederacy won, could it have, over time, reformed into a nation that is a champion for civil rights? Sure. But instead it just has it formative period where it was both objectively and subjectively shitty.
  17. What do soldier motivations matter? The war was started by and the monuments are made to politicians and generals. The average nazi grunt was just fighting for Germany and the soldiers next to him too.
  18. He'd say he tried to appease the South by hemming it in rather than abolishing it outright, but the South wanted slavery so badly that they seceded because they were unable to expand slavery into new territory, and they still feared abolitionism in spite of Lincoln being a moderate on slavery. So it was all about slavery. Both the South's decision to secede and the North's decision to try to bring them to heel. The North, and Lincoln, refused both the Crittenden Compromise and the Corwin Amendment. Both of them were intended to enshrine slavery permanently in Southern states.
  19. Yep. It isnt about just being a slaveowner in the time of slavery. It isnt even about just being a traitor. Its about being a traitor who fought specifically to preserve slavery. There were also probably confederate generals that didn't own slaves themselves. They should not have statues either. One could also conceive of a traitor who fights for a just cause but loses as deserving of future memorialization. Thousands of those traitors died in siberia in the 20th century, for example. The confederacy was the exact opposite of a just cause which is the larger problem with revering its leaders.
  20. He had the feds confiscating state purchased PPE on the tarmac so he could add them to Jared's personal stockpile. You don't think he would do the same for test kits?
  21. Aggy generates a lot of voters. They'll save Sul Ross in order to save their statue of him.
  22. Baylor was named after a shithead, but the university itself has arguably done more to damage the name with the things it allows to occur in its athletic department.
  23. I kind of feel the same. And I think its use over the last 50 years should mean something too. I know players from the 90s were fond of it, but like me, they probably had no knowledge of its history. Does that contemporary fondness provide no value? I would leave it up to the current players though. They are the ones who are "volunteering" to work for an enterprise that earns 220 million in revenue a year off their labor. If the players want it gone, it should be gone.
  24. To be fair, they had been trying to get it done since the 1910s, but financing was a shitshow, and the beginning of the original work was even blasted off at some point. But to also be fair, what actually got it done was pure racism. It was taken over and funded by racist state government in direct response to Brown v BoE. It was to be a momument with racist intent in the 1910s. It became a monument with ONLY racist intent in the 50s/60s.
  25. If we didn't tear down that gift from France in the freedom fries era, we aren't gonna do it now. I am sure Trump wants his own giant statue somewhere. Does he have one yet?
