  1. Probably. But trying to get me to feel bad for ladies at lunch is a losing battle. Decent odds they were terrible people that deserved a little cruelty in their lives. A little embarrassment now and then is a good thing.
  2. What's the harm? The women have to pay for the dinner they were already going to pay? Stupid, yes. Unfunny, yes. Harmful, no.
  3. Blitt is just an inveterate liar who should be rightly ignored every time he opens his mouth. He's harmless. Memet is on the fast track to a breakdown. His warped view of himself and others is a true danger if he ever loses his tenuous grip on reality.
  4. Yeah, but the high end ones will take plastic. Just make sure the pimp accepts your bank.
  5. The Infinity Saga was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that won't be repeated (and it still had a few duds). Adjust expectations accordingly and you'll still find some good stuff as @mdmost noted.
  6. He'll need an analyst to tell him the numbers before he can have an opinion.
  7. Because George Steinbrenner hated hippies.
  8. A wonderfully hilarious lady. https://variety.com/2024/film/news/teri-garr-dead-young-frankenstein-tootsie-1236193831/
  9. The Yankees would be well served to score more runs than L.A. and keep it that way through the end of the game. Will be a significant factor in determining the eventual winner.
  10. Between Mets and Yankees, yes. I don't count the ones involving the Giants/Dodgers back in 19dickety before any of us were alive.
  11. Still mad about something that happened one time 24 years ago is certainly one way to go through life.
  12. No, you've misunderstood that I use the term "Hollywood" to refer to the entire entertainment industry not just movie theaters. $2.38 trillion with a global streaming and a multitude of profitable markets says the industry is strong. The point of this particular line of discussion is that "Hollywood" has always churned out crap and that is not an indicator of the health of the industry. Megalopolis is not a sign of a dying industry. It is the sign of a dying man that nobody dared tell no while his unchecked ego diminished his legacy and his estate.
  13. He's the real deal. Gonna be work to keep him.
  14. Grandpa, tell me about the good old days.
