  1. So much this. Rutgers and Maryland meant one thing, East Coast tv sets. Now they've added West Coast tv sets. That is all that matters in the big picture and why the SEC will ultimately have to expand the footprint to keep the dollars even.
  2. I think we're looking at this the wrong way. I know it tres chic to lament the lack of original ideas out of Hollywood, but sometimes that is the proper course, as is the case with Baywatch. Baywatch should become a regular regurgitation with a soft reboot every 7-10 years to introduce a fresh set of guards. Each new boot would run 4-6 years until sagging sets in. It would become a cultural mainstay through which we judge the passage of time. Great moments in our own lives will be viewed as occurring during a particular era. The proto cast of Weatherly and Eleniak. The first recycle with Anderson/Eggert/Bleeth and then Packard/Electra/Burns. The Hawaii reboot era of Burns/Ledford/Kamano. I hope y'all starting to see the benefits of a regular reboot. If you're still not convinced, this is what we got with the last reboot. Every generation deserves to experience the joy of a Baywatch lifeguard running to the sea. And every generation needs a new crop of recruits.
  3. Eye roll. Beamer would leave tomorrow for the right opportunity.
  4. Cream Abdul Jabbar or Fat George Mikan?
  5. The one where the states of Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Louisiana all fell into the gulf.
  6. Uh-huh. I always curse those whose opinions don't matter to me. Work through your self-contradiction. You super duper greatly care what the folks on this board think about your opinions. That's why you come to a board not meant for you and tell us your opinions on things. Because you care what we think and desire a reaction. Deep down in the places you don't talk about at tailgates, you want Texas fans to listen to you. You need that validation. You use words like POS, Fuck you, and worst. We use these words to put you in your place. You use them as envious deflection when you're taking another loss. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very exposure that Texas provides and then questions the manner in which they provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went back to your second tier. Otherwise, I suggest you recognize your place in the hierarchy. Either way, we don't give a damn what you think you're entitled to. You will return to your dustbowl town and try to remember as the years pass when anyone outside the state knew you existed.
  7. There was no lesson with Rutgers. B1G got exactly what they wanted with Rutgers and Maryland - east coast access. And not a single disruption to the old guard order by adding non-threatening programs. Now that I think about it, aggy does offer a similar deal. Access to Texas and no threat to win anything. Of course, you can get that with a handful of other Texas schools and without the aggy baggage.
  8. Big 10 after taking a look at aggy.
  9. Pitched 1 against Houston. 1 BB, 2 SO, 2 HBP, 4 H, 6 ER. Let's put this away early.
  10. Best do that quick. Just a pregnancy/thirties away from three bills with that one.
  11. But how can a self-appointed highbrow feel superior if they don't throw around irrelevant barbs to prove their pomposity bona fides?
  12. Doesn't the original owner have to still want something for it to be stolen? Pretty sure SEC be like:
  13. I will keep demanding Red Auerbach until I'm heard!
  14. A bit mangled, but I'll forget it cuz you're on a roll.
  15. Billy Donovan hasn't been in college basketball in a decade and only Izzo and Calipari make more than he does currently. He will not be the savior.
  16. Ozzy, Frampton, Jane's, Tribe, Kool. Lenny and Oasis are too derivative. Of the ladies, only Mariah should be considered a HOF contender based on her abilities and sales. The rest had some good stuff, but don't have the all-time career necessary. Cher is a HOF icon, but was any of her music more than generic pop/dance? Eric B. and Rakim have a HOF banger in Paid in Full, but there are so many more deserving early hip-hop artists. DMB and Foreigner is music for people that don't really like music.
  17. Appears she's not the only one not paying attention.
