  1. Neo-Luddism. A rejection of any sort of the type of advanced technology/engineering that led to the need for the Silo(s?) in the first place. Would be the reason "artifacts" are banned as they can lead to advanced knowledge and imminent destruction of all. But yeah, the huge gaping holes in logic and common sense when it comes to how things are run are why I get such strong YA vibes.
  2. I just hope it's not some YA bullshit that they're all in some petri dish experiment.
  3. The only one who deserves a harumph. Jesus Harold Christ, you faggots are retarded.
  4. Be fair. No one could handle that smoke.
  5. One man's trash is another man's treasure. And some of us just happen to treasure trash.
  6. Decent enough. The raunch was fairly light and definitely leans heavy into the sap. But as others have mentioned, that full frontal beach scene will be paused by many a young/old lad/lady.
  7. She may be dead, she may not. Plenty of household names take a "lesser" role that helps jump start interest in a new show. See Sean Bean for the extreme example. I think it's fairly obvious there's something outside the Silo through the 15 metal door. Possibly another Silo.
  8. Yeah, no. Still a homophobic comment. It was a funny homophobic joke in 1974, now considered a homophobic joke from another time when otherwise good-meaning people didn't comprehend the homophobia. But that was 50 years ago, so what's your excuse other than you can only think of a homophobic joke from yesteryear to make your point? Or perhaps I should try your tactic with other jokes from the movie. "I'm not racist for saying that about Wemby as he was walking up on stage, it's a Blazing Saddles reference." /sjw
  9. That's the beauty. Your problem would have an easy fix not available in the current biological model.
  10. Why would Elko make a lateral move? His next move should be to an actual contender.
  11. You lose your other foot and hands? Watch the play, runner passively stood there and allowed the momentum to push him off. Totally avoidable. Same concept as sliding into second. You hang onto the bag no matter what it takes until time is called or you fucked up.
  12. Without knowing any specifics, I can think of all kinds of reasonable reasons. Maybe you just hate being in Tuscaloosa/Raleigh. Maybe you hate being #3 on the campus athlete pecking order. Maybe your role is going to change in a way you don't like. Maybe life is too short to spend one more season dealing with that dickhead in the locker room. Maybe you learned the hard lesson of undefeated and you can't get away from her fast enough. But probably $.
  13. Even with a rules clarification, I don't think that situation should be reversed. The push-off was unintentional and the runner has to take the blame for allowing himself to be so easily moved. Totally distinct from a fielder walking over to a runner on base and just giving a shove for a tag. This was a live play with active baserunning and fielding that led to an on-field collision. The base is life and you stay attached to it with every fiber of your being if there's a chance you can be tagged. It's Pickle 101.
  14. Unfortunately, your joke lands soft: Now we all feel a little more older.
  15. Today I learned I have the body of a former NFL Quarterback. And I got a couple of decades on him. He wins the slutty companion race though. For now. And @66BUFF proves we're all a lottery win away from happiness. I just hope they get the AI fully integrated before I kick the bucket.
  16. He'll never play a down for Kiffin. Homeschooled kid who also wants to play baseball and proven to have zero patience. This is just the beginning of his Martell journey.
  17. I'm quite sure you mean quit.
