  1. and add in $60 more per game for peach tea bourbons...I guess I'll still go ad hoc.
  2. I've seen one of those animals do the same thing when I was a kid out at Criders back in the late 80s. It also tore thru the dividing fence they would put up to close off half the arena.
  3. That movie was so bad on every level.
  4. The boys had a good gig. Was muggy, but there was decent shade. Final set was Van Wilks. I had never really listened long to Texas Blues before. The sound he put out was ethereal. Here's a shot of him putting on a master class for the boys.

Shameless plug for my son's band, The Formality. They recorded a spot on Omar Vallejo's show last month at 512 Studios. Episodes started airing last weekend. They recorded 3 songs which will be spread out over the next few episodes. My son said Omar seemed like a really good guy. They're the 3rd band in the link.
  6. Yup, will be sweating my ass off to watch my son's band play at Chiggerfest in Driftwood this afternoon. At least it's BYOB, and we can bring a canopy.
  7. It would be great for the LSU rivalry. Tired of losing to those fucks
  8. Pierce is infecting the softball team. Fire his ass now....
  9. alright, let's walk this one off in style
  10. A whole series centered around a story that doesn't need to be told. What could possibly go wrong... They should've gone way back and gone Old Republic-like. Get some ancient Jedi/Sith shit going on.
  11. Beard: I'll wash your car, and your balls....every day. Please let me back!
  12. I am no big cigar, nor do I claim to know any of them. I am not going to throw the player or his family under the bus either, so sorry to get you hard. Before today, I was in the camp of "our pitching is trash, the team has done well to overcome that. We won't make it out of this regional, but Pierce has earned a few more years of buffer before we decide to fire him." But the details the guy went into leads me to conclude that Pierce had already checked out this season. And maybe with his lengthy career, he can quickly diagnose that this team was never going to amount to much, and is safeguarding his sanity. But to be mailing in the coaching / teaching aspects of his responsibility, leaving the trashy pitching staff out to dry, and going back on individual committments to players (without real explanation)...that's high school level shit.
  13. Well, after having a nice conversation with one of my buddies who is a parent of a current player, put me in the camp of getting rid of Pierce. Although I don't think it will happen soon enough, given his current W/L record. But the players have no team chemistry/camaraderie, Pierce does not coach the pitchers at all, etc. etc. The son's quote was "this was the most dysfunctional team I have ever been on in my life."
