  1. Got through 4 episodes of the McMahon doc. I think it’s a pretty fair portrayal. They definitely don’t try to redeem any of the shady bullshit he’s done, at least so far. Most of the footage was shot before the 2022 sale and the 2024 lawsuit though.

  2. Derek Carr should definitely be rostered now in almost every league based on the first three weeks, whereas before he was going undrafted in 12 team leagues I’m guessing.

You’re not going to play him over Mahomes, Allen, etc. but if I had relied on someone like Trevor Lawrence pre-draft then yeah, Carr could start for me.

  3. I’m staying away. It’s either a bet on Texas or no play. Too many variables here.

    1) Is Quinn going to play?  If so I like Texas laying them a lot more, because Arch will likely come in and be allowed to run the offense still even if we have a big lead. If Arch starts, foot could go off the gas early because Owens wouldn’t get the same leash, even if he plays.  Don’t think we know the answer to this question until later in the week.

    2) We have a bye next week. Not sure if Sark sees this as an opportunity for more reps for the top line guys because more rest is incoming or as an opportunity to pull guys early to provide them additional rest.

    3) Jeff Lebby. Does Sark give a shit that the Sooner, Art Briles loving pile of shit is on the other sideline?  Is there any grudge there?  I don’t know.

May be a good opportunity to bet live if we happen to start slow. Either way, no pre-game play for me because the number is only going to keep going up.

  4. 4-5 on posted plays.  Cal, Wyoming/North Texas, and CU/Baylor plays had the right spirit. The latter two were doomed by big special team plays/fails. AZ State and USC were whiffs - that Moss pick six to Will Johnson sucked.

    On to the next!

  5. Added:

Illinois +7.5. Illinois might (maybe) be able to block Nebraska’s DLine some. Seems low scoring so give me the points.

Cal +2.5 (at Woke Campbell Stadium). I just want to laugh when FSU goes to 0-4.

Texas: 13 receiving TDs to eight different players (six WRs) | Total: 74 receptions, 1,028 yards

A&M: 4 receiving TDs to four different layers (three WRs) | Total: 39 receptions, 474 yards

Damn, those are some sizeable differences. I know it's a small sample size and schedules aren't really comparable right now, but I'd imagine that proportion doesn't change much by the end of the season.

What do you mean?  Michigan is better than Notre Dame, UTSA is better than Florida, and Colorado State is better than McNeese.

Listening to XM 84 Full Ride this morning and Childers is attempting to stoke the fires of QB controversy in Austin. “What happens if Arch goes out there again this weekend and throws 5 TDs?”

Neuheisel handled it really well, pushed back, and lauded everyone involved. Said he doesn’t care if Ewers comes out and throws a couple of picks early against Georgia, they’ll all stick their knitting and fans will follow suit.

Overall it was about 20 minutes of more or less just touting the hell out of both players, Sarkisian and the program, so I’m not complaining.

That said, it’s just an indicator of where the national media and asshats like Bohls, Chip Brown, Ketchum/Anwar, and Liucci are dying to take things. A big statistical game this weekend, which I think is more likely than not, from Manning will send the QB controversy narrative into the stratosphere. We probably all need to gear the fuck up.

Kanell was on Cover 3 yesterday saying Ewers should push to play this weekend so Arch can’t get anymore momentum.  Ummmmm OK idiot.

  8. 3-3 on posted plays - Northern Iowa would’ve hit if I’d have waited for more line movement. Would bet again.

    Plays for this week:

AZ State +3.5 (at Texas Tech). Betting the Sun Devils until the wagon breaks down.

Florida -4.5 (at Miss State). Got on this yesterday and now moved to -5.5. Yes Florida is in shambles but Miss State doesn’t have P4 quality on either line. I’m guessing Napier finally settles on a QB and stops his idiotic rotation from last game.

USC -5.5 (at Michigan). Purely a fade of Alex Orji.

Wyoming/North Texas U55.5.  Wyoming’s offense is completely inept. North Texas could score 40 and then number may still hit.

KState/BYU over 45.5.  Seems like an overreaction to KState holding Arizona to 7 last week. Arizona looks like a complete mess to me on offense. Also KState has big home game against Okie State up next.

Baylor/Colorado U52.5. Aranda still knows how to defend an air raid team which is what CU basically runs on offense now. Meanwhile, Baylor’s offense can’t fight out of a wet paper bag, and CU’s quietly played good defense for the past 6 quarters with Shilo out.

OU Team Total U24.5. Tenn’s defensive line is…like top 3 or 4 in the SEC?  I’m fine with letting Jackson Arnold prove it.  Tenn -6.5 looks fishy to me so staying away from that.
