Jonathan Smith is a damn good football coach and could only coax out a 57% completion rate on less than 20 attempts a game. DJU’s a middling QB that has zero business starting at an upper end power conference school.

Gotta go Javonte. Probably need to give the Bears a look against live competition before proceeding - lots of mouths to feed.

Let’s try this again.
BC team total over 16.5.
-
Man LSU blew so many chances. Would bet it again if they lined up today.
-
Texas 30, Michigan 15.
Michigan WRs 69 yards.

Met with Mackinac Island Ferry Co. today in St.Ingnace about some work on their ferries. You probably went to the island on one.
Username checks out.

I guess anything is on the table, but yeah he's not leaving for another job because no one wants him. So the plan would be to just quit after year 2. Would be awesome to see the entire country turn on him.
Pretty sure the contract says he owes 8 million if he leaves for any reason, including quitting. I think all the penalties become negligible after Year 3 so he’ll probably leave then.

At this point, I think the clear indication is Sanders is leaving with Hunter and his sons. He has put zero effort into building that program long term.
He’d have to give back like 8 million if he leaves. Seems far fetched to me.

NDSU’s former head coach up and leaving to go help coach Lincoln Riley’s defense may say something about NDSU’s roster this year.

Shit, Temple may be like bottom 3 bad. OU is going to annihilate them.
Don’t know what to make of TCU this year. Kind of like Stanford and the points.
Georgia Southern and Boise in Statesboro should be a fun one.

There is absolutely a chance to flip a guy like Jonah Williams. I would keep an eye on a number of guys. Especially guys that visited and A&M did not pull out on. Those are guys I would continue to monitor over the course of the recruiting process. Guys like Michael Fasusi, Jonah Williams, and Lamont Rogers.
Uh huh.

Don’t think you need to carry 2 QBs in a 10 team league, especially if you drafted Burrow. Definitely don’t need to carry two defenses.
I’d drop Burrow, one of the D/ST, and Thielan and pick up some upside WRs and RBs. Odunze, Josh Palmer, Doubs. I actually think McLaughlin is a good upside pick at RB too.

I was one of the lucky ones at the coin toss game. The murmuring was uh, evident. Then we lost to Neuheisel’s kid.

Gutsy round of golf from Keegan.

Texas 45, CSU 17.
WRs 303 yards.
Jay Norvell’s cigar is extinguished midway through 2Q.

Ran out right after the FG went through so circling back here.

You can’t leave Haynes King that much time to operate!

What the fuck was that play on 3rd and 9

DJ U right at 6 yards an attempt…

Hopefully those FSU DT commits are looking at this and going “nah”

Cover 3 podcast should be epic this week. Bud Elliott + Kannell tears.
Bud Elliott is pretty practical. I didn’t hear much koolaid from him about FSU leading into the year.
Kanell is a moron.

Busted on a 59-yder, fucking ouch.
Could get that line at 28.5 earlier in the week!

Ga Tech is frisky as hell, and their new DC was at Duke last year so is already familiar with what FSU wants to run. Not surprised this is a game.

Week 2, 2024: Texas at Michigan
in Football

I know the recent Bama/Texas series got thrown around as a comparison earlier in this thread. I don’t really agree with that assessment. This week’s scenario feels more like 2006 when tOSU came to Austin. We had just won the national title but lost a bunch of key pieces, and tOSU brought back a super talented team from the year before.
While we were game for a half, they just kind of strangled us out. Those that played because they didn’t get hit with gun charges, that is (Thanks Aaron Harris!)
