  1. He’s the one that got hurt in the high school playoffs his season year right?
  2. I’m chasing this dragon!
  3. Not sure why overperforming your seed matters that much when a 1 seed wins the tournament 64% of the time. https://bracketresearch.com/the-dna-of-a-national-championship-team/seeds-of-ncaa-tournament-champions/
  4. Not a bust but a disappointment - Darnell McDonald deciding to go into the MLB draft in 1997.
  5. Henry Ruggs comes to mind as a recent example.
  6. Unless the team suddenly plays up to its potential and wins out, then makes a deep run in the SEC tourney followed by a deep NCAA run, Rodney Terry should lose his job no questions asked.
  7. Holy shit that was wild
  8. That was some fuck you racing. Love it.
  9. So many commercials!

    PGA Tour 2025

    Suddenly it’s Ludvig’s to lose…
  11. Vic’s halftime speech worked. Let’s go!
  12. Hang the banner Colorado! ”2024-25: Did Not Go 0-20 In Big 12 Play”
  13. Nice.
  14. Unless it’s Nate Oats because of the buyout reduction, who is more obtainable after next season than now? And if the list is just Nate Oats, go hire him anyway if that’s who you’ve identified for the job.

    PGA Tour 2025

Is Torrey Pines the shittiest stop on tour in terms of course design? What a boring slog where every hole looks the same. Great setting though.
  16. Maybe Few is done because Tommy Lloyd and his recruiting prowess headed to Tucson. TEAM TOMMY.
  17. I’m all about Jokic but for this particular matchup and the common set of teammates offered up, don’t think we need him because we already have a bunch of the best offensive guys ever playing crunch time. I want defensive freaks to throw at Shaq, Kareem, and Wilt. Starters: Oscar, MJ, Bird, Durant, Duncan Bench: Steph, Wade, Dirk, Pippen/KG, Hakeem
  18. Shaka is a good mid-major coach. He’s already shown he can’t cut it at a place like IU.
  19. From that list, I’d probably rule out Pitino (old), Hurley (entrenched), Altman (old), Sampson (old), Pearl (fuckface), Drew (fuck him), Wright (stays retired), and Bennett (stays retired) but I guess you never know.
  20. Here’s a crack at the “CDC criteria” list, in a vacuum and in no particular order. I’ve at least tried to weed out guys like Self, Scheyer, and Izzo who aren’t going anywhere, and I’ve excluded former Texas coaches. I’m also not limiting it to P4 necessarily because the Big East still has juice. Brad Brownell (Clemson) Rick Pitino (St. John’s) Greg McDermott (Creighton) Dan Hurley (UConn) Sean Miller (Xavier) Dusty May (Michigan) Matt Painter (Purdue) Greg Gard (Wisconsin) Mick Cronin (UCLA) Kevin Willard (Maryland) Brad Underwood (Illinois) Dana Altman (Oregon) Kelvin Sampson (Houston) Tommy Lloyd (Arizona) Grant McCasland (Texas Tech) TJ Otzelberger (Iowa State) Scott Drew (Baylor) Bruce Pearl (Auburn) Nate Oats (Alabama) Chris Jans (Miss State) Mark Few (Gonzaga) Jay Wright (Retired) Tony Bennett (Retired)
  21. Okay. And what if Tommy Lloyd says no. He’d be my first call too, which I’ve already said on here.
  22. I don’t necessarily disagree with your take regarding CDC’s hiring criteria. If that’s the case, who fits it and how long is the list? And what if they all decline?
  23. Great show that got way out over its skis when the source material ran out. “Hardhome” in Season 5 (awesome episode) is right before the show started to wobble, and everything from the end of “Eastwatch” in Season 7 to the end of the series was a bloated mess. Thanks Fat Man! I probably need a rewatch to ultimately pass judgment on its place in TV history, but Seasons 1 through 4 is great television.
  24. (My bad. He was at San Francisco not Pacific.) I was simply circling back on the larger point that if a guy can coach, the NIL money will follow soon after…so Texas should not necessarily rule out the guy at Drake because he happens to be coaching at Drake. He’s not my first choice but he should at least be considered. Todd Golden took over a Florida program in 2022 that looks to be equivalent to where Texas will likely be after this season - middling SEC program with no tournament appearance after making the Round of 32 the year before and having a wildly mediocre coach depart. Also, while I consider this Year 3 for Terry considering he coached a vast majority of 2022-2023, there is no question Texas is going backward right now whether this is Year 2 or Year 3.
