  1. Kind of like the classic Cotton Bowl at Fair Park...I do wonder what those stadiums do when there's no football. I know they have some other functions and games...but can't imagine it's enough really to keep them going.
  2. We simply can't compare records for a racist school being all white, and all male, and fake military...it's not right. A travesty if you will...
  3. Yeah but how about this century! Oh wait, the last 50 years...when aggie was cheating and Texas wasn't good in the late 80's/90's!
  4. he was trying so hard to get THIS thread off the main page too, lol
  5. Take it. I don't care if they can get multiple firsts...just get better. And i'd be fine with Jones Jr coming back. then move some of those guys. Collins is redundant here. Bogdan might help but isn't on the timeline.
  6. Inferior...to aggy? Because of one football game? Did you not just see what Texas did to aggy all last season from football to football? We'll never be "inferior" Oh my sweet little asshole...YOU spin your whole world around Texas. We do not around aggy. Hope this helps.
  7. Had no idea about this, and it's right up my alley for historical retellings. Plus the cast...gonna have to check it out
  8. Which is why it's going the way of the Dodo bird soon. Especially if they can't really punish the team losing the game by dropping them out of the top 10-12
  9. Why...is this here?
  10. TBF it was UTEP. The shouldn't have allowed more than 49. This is a very good point and underrated this year. Yeah makes sense...don't blame them, they usually have good reasoning and not just "gut feeling" We should be really upset if they win in any other way than convincingly. We should just ask them ask them to put an asterisk by that result, and ask he committee to disregard it as win. How could we cope with a terrible win?
  11. Ah give him a break...at least they're all real military schools(the other reason they claim they had so much bad history)
  12. And it's been pretty clear that the ownership of the Mavs now has no inclination of basketball. they trusted Nico and maybe the thought of "paying him some huge contract" was on their mind too. But make no mistake, if Nico doesn't come to them to get permission for the trade, they're not sitting aroudn thinking "hey let's get rid of luka". Everyone in the know has been consistent that it was ALL Nico. While the owners share responsibility for signing off on it stupidly, it was Nico's baby and he had to pay for it. As for the Conspiracy angle. It's far fetched. But I could see the reasoning. I just don't think Nico does the trade if he doesn't want to in the end.
  13. so what was the point of even responding? Just a silly waste of time.
  14. Oh I know, but that was after the trade was already in the works. I took as in it was too late. Once again not saying he'd have been able to stop them. But if they had asked anyone but Nico they may have known it's a bad idea.
  15. Ehh even when Texas has looked bad they don't get blown out. sure it could be 7-14 points. But it won't be crazy even if it goes bad.
  16. they didn't pick up the phone and call Cuban. If they had they may have gotten someone saying don't do the trade. But they had pushed him out of the decision-making process completely.
  17. Seems their run games pick up in the 2nd half. Or feels like it when they salted away Ole Miss and Tennessee
  18. Isn't it more likely than not? They're favored by almost a TD. I understand being confident about winning, and being called pussies if you have any doubt.... but not sure we need to saying 'we're losing" like it's set in stone either.
  19. what are you even talking about?
  20. I will hope Taffe being back, and not being completely decimated at DB overall, will help
  21. Rome was the first HBO show I truly tuned into watch week to week...then it bled over to Sopranos, and I've watched mostly everything they've done since.
  22. I hate to admit it, but if the fucking owners had even made a phone call to him before the trade, he may have said it's a stupid fucking idea and gave them pause. But they, rightfully, had pushed him so far out, the didn't. Agree with most. I'd fire sale AD/Klay/Russle/Gaff and Kyrie(ONLY if he wanted, I don't think they need to just toss him away, and he could help them on the rebuild). Get whatever and the fuck you can for them. Picks, young players, assets...whatever. Don't worry about "winning deals". Just get the old guys our and let the young guys play. If that means Naji too, okay. I'd prefer to keep PJ, he's just such a glue player and is young enough to STILL be in the Cooper timeline. They don't need to do a full teardown, just a season or 2 reset while getting a high pick ths year. Yep. This isn't a sixers or jazz type tear down. They just need to play out this year, jettison all the old guys except PJ(IMO) and get the best pick they can. Then get better. They don't need to gut everything.
  23. It wasn't. It was all nico and the idiot owners didn't know enough to ask anyone fucking else if it was a good idea. They trusted the basketball man the last owner picked and had built a finals team. Honestly it's not surprising they listened to him, since they thought he knew what he was doing. If they had ANY inkling of basketball knowledge, or the pulse of the fans, they'd have know it was a horrible trade. The fact they didn't, and I hate saying this, even broach it with Marc Cuban is still baffling.
