  1. I said I have done all the defending I will do. You can fuck yourself, though.
  2. But that’s different. Aggy’s only success, such as it is, has been when they were illegally paying players. They want THOSE rules so they can cheat. They can’t afford to play by THESE rules and it isn’t fair.
  3. The perception of willingly going to Texas A&M at this point would be really bad.
  4. That ain’t a mayonnaise jar.
  5. I’ve known rednecks, Sir. No self-respecting redneck would claim William P. Loochie as one of their kind. More like bulbous-nosed shitbag.
  6. Listen, if we have two gay dudes get in a slap fight here, all Texas A&M social media will get a collective hard-on. Y’all simma down na.
  7. This will be my last post “defending” the guy. I could have someone who worked for him and knows him well come post here instead, and maybe he will. Moffitt has been in BR for over 20 years. It is now his family home. He could have gone to work for Saban more than once in that time frame but did not because it was home. When Kelly let him go, he stayed because of family. At some point, a guy does have to decide how he’s going to finish out his working years. A&M is relatively close, I’m sure he’s getting paid well, and it’s time to go back to work. I agree that Elko is trying to ingrain a “blue collar” mentality in CS. I do not think this hire will change the culture because the problem there goes way beyond entitlement, but I do think it’s a good hire. Elko will still be gone within 5 years.
  8. Mack was the problem, though. Whatever you think of Major, he was extremely frustrated by Mack’s unwillingness to listen and work hard. (See: comment I made yesterday on the UW game thread)
  9. Dude knows O-line (as does Ferentz), knows the Big 10 culture and recruiting territory, had offenses that were pretty similar to what Ferentz likes to do, and undoubtedly picked up some ideas on explosiveness while he was here. It is a huge upgrade for Iowa. Iowa also always seems to find productive RBs and certainly TEs.
  10. I’d take the money to work somewhere that isn’t Texas A&M. It would take a lot more to choose to work there.
  11. Uh, I pointed out that Wylie sucked when we hired him. His philosophy and Moffitt’s are miles apart. There’s a reason one guy has three rings and the other is Lincoln Riley’s fluffer. Moffitt is not a Jerry Schmidt-type meathead and he didn’t lose his job in BR because of his performance.
  12. If you say so. I was one of the first posters to sound the alarm on Shaggy about Wylie. But sure.
  13. EMERGENCY LOOCH! Everyone should panic. A&M got beat out for a DC by TCU. LO-fucking-L! Yes, this is a fucked up situation.
  14. I was skeptical of Becton. Don't think I was critical of him because I didn't know much about him. Moffitt has ties to Texas because several former Longhorns have gone on to work for him. But he will not outweigh the mediocrity that Elko brings. Just saying that this is a good hire, unlike any of Elko's other hires.
  15. He is nothing like Pat Moorer. His focus is Olympic lifts for explosion and power. And again, his team won the national championship in 2003, 2007, and 2019. I am not saying he will succeed at A&M, but he is damned good at what he does.
  16. ...and then? Dude won a national championship in 2019.
  17. Moffitt just got caught up in all the cleansing at LSU post-Orgeron. Kelly wanted to bring in his own guy. Moffitt won a ring with Saban, Miles, and Orgeron. He was a constant there and still lives in Baton Rouge. He has had tons of offers to leave over the years and stayed because he had made a home there. Moffitt is one of, if not the best S&C coach in the country.
  18. Moffitt would be a very good hire, make no mistake. A lot of his former assistants are running S&C programs around the country.
  19. I truly would not be surprised if that's what they're doing. Always remember that all of A&M's recruiting "reporters" are aggy alums first and foremost, and everything they do is in service of recruiting players to Texas A&M. They are not journalists and they are not mere observers to the process. They absolutely would hatch some "brilliant" PR scheme to make it look like they have momentum. If you think that's absurd, just recall that they made a documentary about Brandon Jones to steer him to Texas A&M. It was blatant recruiting and it made them look like the absolute dumbfucks we know them to be.
  20. He doesn't. As you know, aggies do not understand NIL (or money or winning) at all.
  21. aggy has absolutely been paying players to visit them and NOT to visit other schools. It was part of the secret sauce behind their 2022 class. Those fucking rubes...
  22. Everything they do is contradictory. It's almost like there was no plan in place at all. Who imagined when they hired and fired Mark Stoops in about a 3 hour span that this would all blow up so spectacularly?! Again, A&M is far and away a bigger cesspool than we were ever even accused of being. Their factions all have a seat at the table despite none of them having the first clue about a winning program or culture. Most guys don't want to be a DC in name only. Santucci would surely have taken the job but aggies hate his guts and would never allow him back on their campus, so they're left to face the reality that College Station is in fact NOT Shangri La on the Brazos. Maybe the NCAA just needs to force all CFB coaches to go to Fish Camp. WHOOP! Seriously, so much of what's going on is so simple a caveman could get it, but a caveman's skull is nowhere near as thick as an aggy's.
