Well shit... Bunch of test results back and the doc wants to change my treatment plan due to the fistula. Stopping the xeloda pills and doing the 5fu infusions now. Stopping the Avastin so that hopefully the fistula will heal on its own. Adding Irinotecan and Vectibix. Might have to get a piss bag to go with my poop bag. This shit sucks.
Progress scan last week. All tumors are stable but my cea has been steadily rising the last 3 months after being demolished by the oxaliplatin. My spleen has kept growing and is now 2 in over normal in both directions and gobbling up my platelets, so I'm going to see an infectious disease doctor tomorrow and scheduled a pet scan next week. The fistula between my bladder and colon has settled down and I don't feel like killing myself when I have to piss, but I also now piss out "sediment" or "debris" as the doctors have called it. Urologist says there's basically nothing he can do except surgery and that would require going off treatment for a while which of course my oncologist is not a fan of. Seeing how it plays out for now.
I have $75-$100 in one's in an envelope in my desk. Pair it with $50ish in fives and I just dip in that for vacation tips. Other than that I only use cash for drugs.
Vegas odds have me dead within the next 5 years so this issue has been in the front of my mind. I have relayed my wishes to be burnt up and returned to the earth. A small amount to be sprinkled on the dog graveyard at my dad's hobby farm. Half to my mom, half to my dad. They can spread them wherever they choose. My mom lives on the coast in the sea of Cortez and will be dumping them in the ocean.
The whole point of liquid death was to have a sweet looking can for sober people to hold at the bar. This coosie nonsense is antithetical to the brand.
Uh they have used pulleys in the show when fixing the generator. The pact forbids elevators and crap, everything has to be moved between floors by hand. Why this is the case has not been explained I don't think.
I was introduced to him with no country, and eventually took a road trip to California where I listened to the road, blood meridian, and child of God. CoG is personally the most disturbing book I've read.
RIP. I've been meaning to relisten to blood meridian.
I got my first culture victory last night. It's still the most confusing victory type for me but I was happy with a turn 223 win with only 5 cities as khmer.
Scan results this week. Liver lesions have continued to shrink, about 50% down from dx. Colon mass is stable. Doctor said that's about as positive as anyone can hope for. I also am done with the ox, 6 rounds with that horrible beast and I'm glad to be done.
However, I have had new abdominal pain and pain while urinating (also I'm totally sure now that I don't like mixing pain with orgasms). It started about a week after my last scan so I've been dealing with it for two months. Piss tests showed no infections. Well this scan revealed that the colon tumor has tethered itself to my bladder and may be forming a colovesical fistula, fancy words for a tube that grows between the two and you can start pissing out shit. That part of my colon isn't hooked up anymore, so luckily I've been spared that.
Oncologist sent a referral to a urologist but it's been a week and they haven't scheduled an appointment yet. Really wanting to get this fixed. Will probably require a surgery.
I remember after the first chapter that I thought it would make a great intro episode. It's been a while since I've read the series so I don't remember half of it.
