I’ve been around since Austin360. I get that y’all flex on having the appearance of being bad boys with no boundaries. That’s all well and good. That doesn’t mean every crappy joke is a good idea. I don’t think the subject of this off-topic fiasco is something that would look good attached to Texas fans if that dumpster fire to the east flares up and gets attention beyond one guy’s being a felon. Allegedly. Others don’t care. That’s fine. I don’t see the point of calling those who disagree with me bitches, or whatever, but, sure, that kinda seems par for the course here, regardless.

So what i gather is that posting here, on some subjects, is a catch-22? UNCO.

  3. In China, the rise in prevalence has been notably rapid; about 12% of the adult population has diabetes [2], accounting for almost one quarter of cases worldwide [1] and representing a 10-fold increase over the last 3 to 4 decades.Jul 21, 2022

compare that to 8% of the U.S.

Who the fuck still has a chain link fence? Get with the times. I personally do not like them because I don't want random mother fuckers looking in my backyard at things I have and seeing what I'm up to.

We all know what you are doing as a fence doesn't hide that skunk smell emanating from your backyard, hoss.

  5. You are not an asshole for asking for what you asked for.  He's the one asking for change and or infringing upon you.  You made a proposal let him accept or counter.  Being "neighborly" has little to do with this transaction.  A developer's intent when they go in is primarily to make a profit.  So, his motive, most likely, has little to do with being a good neighbor and more about selling the house.  If i were him i wouldn't want to look at your ugly fence and might want some privacy.  You know that so you are leveraging it.  I don't have a problem with that.

If the request had come from an actual neighbor who had been there some time, then I may feel differently about your approach being asshole-ish.  I know it would bother me, every time i looked at my backyard, to see a new wooden fence on one side and old ass chain link on the other sides.

The Rio Grande has never been grand. It has been like this since about forever and just gets worse with agriculture and population growth. In New Mexico, rafting hasn't changed nor have the headwaters.

The difference between the RG in New Mexico vs the version that Texas gets is vast.  There are many parts of the river in NM that are grand, wide and deep.  The use and damming in that state should be discussed more.  The meager creek water that enters Texas then has hundreds of miles to go in the desert.  Texas is a huge state.  The river survives only by being fed by the convergence in Del Rio and other rivers down to Port Isabel.

    Preaching to the choir, man.

One way on how to "fix it," I think, is what the Party's economic planners were trying to accomplish a few years ago, which was to stimulate domestic consumer demand and become less reliant on exports. Not sure how far they got with that, and I think it's still a somewhat viable solution to their problem, but they may have waited a little too long on that front.

Obviously, I'm not a China expert, but I'm hoping they can manage the transition away from export-growth-at-all-costs to building up internal demand to leverage what wealth they've gained. They still have a shit load of domestic consumers (and will for a long, long time). Of course, a big part of that is making sure they have a healthy middle class, which they've likely achieved in the bigger cities. But, man, I can imagine that the brunt of this demographic decline will be brutal in their rural areas.

So more porn sites.  Got it.
