  1. Tried Korea House on Long Point Rd.  Two thumbs up.  Its a big spread.  Good for when you have a big appetite.  I felt like cooking tasty meats with dipping sauces tonight and this place did not disappoint.  Kim Chi hot soup was awesome.

Might've missed it but I'll offer up Gatti's pizza. How the fuck that place is still around is beyond me. I tried the one near the drag years ago one time and it was absolute trash. With so many good pizza spots within walking distance how do those places survive?

    You shut your whore mouth.

At least they aren't black.  That worldstar shit is starting to wear on me.

Meaning, that the evolution of a whole category of videos called "hood fights" and at least one place on the internet (worldstar) where they are collected and displayed, I think provides a good deal of fodder for racists and racism, and, it's just kind of uncool to celebrate this shit.

  5. Was there last week.  Stayed half time in a resort and the other in town to swim at the local beaches and be on the marina.  Hit up usual spots including Ediths, which still hold up well.  The days were relaxing and fishing plentiful.   This time around we determined to venutre a few blocks into local territory to eat more casual spots.  Cabo is a seafood town but i've had no better prepared ceviche, for the price, than at Baracruda.  Portions were also large.  Also, if you want to take your girl or fam to a really nice meal, more intimate setting of fine dining, i highly recommend Garambullo.  Its next door to Baracruda.  Manuel wearing a flat billed Boston Red Sox cap is one of the owners.  He's a former head chef at one of the resorts.  Great food and paid $ 35 for what i normally would pay about $100 at other big named places.   We wanted Churros for dessert and instead of steering us toward his menu he tipped us off to walk a block north of there to Calle Ma. Morelos to try a street vendor, Mr. Churro, he said he frequents.  He also recommended the fried plantains there.  Another option for a quick and casual yet tasty lunch is Taqueria El Paisa, off of Lazaro Cardenas.  Their salsas and  meats are quite good.   Lastly, i'd be remiss if i didnt mention Infusion Art Caffee.  Its a 5 minute taxi ride away from the marina but totally worth it.  Its frequented by expats and local hipsters but the coffee and food are fresh/excellent.  She liked it so much we ate there multiple times.  Everything we had there was good, no doubt your lady friend will love it.

I like them all but i can't help but remember thinking, the first time i got the individuals, what the hell is this?  Team pile of noach.

  7. Spent a day here last weekend.  Had Benno's for the first time.  The service was typical of island life, no rush whatsoever.  The food was solid but I don't feel the need to go back before trying other places.  Fyi, the flounder was good but wasnt worth the price.

  8. We frequent Port A/ Corpus more often than Galveston for beach and other reasons but this summer we decided to go down a little further to SPI.  We're glad we did.  The weather has been beautiful this week and fishing plentiful.  It is pretty amazing the difference just a few miles down the gulf coast makes.  The beach has been better than expected.  I don't remember my last trip here as it was during college.  The water is clear, the food good and the people friendly and hospitable.
