  1. Any time I hear my parents bitch about illegal immigrants I simply ask them if verify the legal status of everyone on the crew who mows their yard or every employee at their favorite Mexican restaurant. Oh, you don’t do that, well then, you’re part of the problem.

  3. Stay and fight appeals to my sense of honor. I’m just tired of being around people who call themselves Texans, and yet demonstrate no qualities that would make them worthy of the title.
  4. I salute your work. You have one big problem. A lot of people who agree with you are so fucking sick of living in Texas that we are in the process of getting the fuck out of Texas.
  5. I was looking at a house with a pool several years ago. I have never had a pool and know nothing about pools, but like the idea of a pool. At the time I had a client who owned a pool cleaning business, so I texted him a few pics of the backyard with three huge live oaks and asked him how much of a pain in the ass it would be to keep the pool clean. His response was this:
  6. My interactions with kids and parents in that area are when the kids are in elementary school. So younger kids/younger parents which probably skews my perspective. I suppose they evolve into Hitler youths as they grow up. It is also entirely possible that my wife, who teaches there, simply declines invitations to do things socially with maga parents, because she despises them as much as I do, and also because if I get a couple of glasses of wine in me I am more likely to speak my mind.
  7. You on a diet?
  8. It’s a shame nobody (except for olds) writes checks these days. I used to have a lot of fun with the memo line.
  9. It’s red because of the olds. Below 50 trends blue.

  11. Snyder sucks. But if you are pulling into town at 10:00 and are tired and don’t want to push through to Dallas, the Holiday Inn is an attractive option.
  12. Where are you going 50 miles out of the way that is better? West Texas sucks aside from the Allsups burritos. The Dairy Queen was fine.
  13. It’s not illegal in TX. The not so fine folks at the Frisco Municipal Court will tack on 3% if you want to pay with a card.
  14. I think we’ll have 5-6 guys with 500-800 yards and have no clue on the order.
  15. Same. Never heard of anyone calling a breakfast taco a burrito. I mean I have heard it before, but it was from people ho had just moved here from California.
  16. Do you know a lot of D’s who are apathetic about the thought of Trump part deux? I stood in line for 4 hours in 2020 and would’ve stood in line for 4 days if that’s what it took.
  17. To get from White Sands to DFW you only have to turn twice. You hang a right in Snyder and a left onto 20 in Sweetwater. The only reason I even bothered to look at a map is because it was slightly different than the route we normally take.
  18. I’ve lived in north Texas for most of my life and nobody calls it a burrito. Maybe a place that serves a supersized one calls it a burrito to differentiate it from their smaller taco offerings, but that’s it.
  19. I lived in a little duplex circa 2000 that was in Williamson County by about 100 feet. Didn’t even realize it wasn’t in Travis until after we moved in. At one point the thought crossed my mind that 100 feet would be the difference between me going to prison and me getting a warning if the cops found some weed in the house. If you going to do some criminal shit, be aware of where you’re doing it. I currently live in Dallas County, but I am an 8 iron from Collin County. That 150 yards would probably double my sentence for any crime I decided to commit. Don’t want to stand trial in DC, don’t commit crimes in DC.
  20. Spotty at best is being kind. Last time we were driving home from Ruidoso we took a detour to go to White Sands before heading back to Dallas. Wife damn near had a panic attack when she didn’t have service for half an hour. Her: what if something happens? Me: we’ll figure it out. her: what if we get lost? Me: do you see that little E on the side of the rear view mirror? That means we are going east. As long as we continue going east we will be fine. I also looked at a map before we left this morning and can get us home even if every electronic device in the car ceases to function.
