  1. Phones and tablets go in a drawer. When one of the nieces or nephews inevitably breaks their current device, Uncle conVINCEd to the rescue.
  2. Can we start giving flight attendants tranquilizer guns?
  3. I think a distinction needs to be made between people who have a couple of songs that could be considered bro country and people whose entire body of work is bro country. While I don’t listen to a lot of newer country music, Florida Georgia Line was the first thing I thought of.
  4. Congratulations Vic! You found the one scenario where I might be tempted to vote for Wade.
  5. A bunch of them will vote, and a bunch of them will do that in a different state.
  6. Handcruser is a gun dealer IIRC, so he’s probably 80% ahead of the curve on this, but I’m doubting that buying one makes a whole lot of sense. Not trying to be a Debbie Downer here, but let’s start a gofundme and buy a bunch of them and spread that shipping cost across multiple weapons. We’ve raised north of $50k in a day for a few players who had moms with some health problems.
  7. I just want to understand what we are doing here.. I applaud the effort, but I’m guessing it would cost more to get it there than it actually costs.

  9. This is a safe space. I’m no law dog, but admitting to the accusations would seem to be a non-winning strategy to me.
  10. Anybody have a recommendation for the best turtle soup in Dallas? Just making preparations and don’t want to have to scramble at the last minute.
  11. Tucker is 185/188 inside of 40 yards for his career, and I’d venture a guess that there was a bad snap or blocked kick in there.
  12. Congratulations to all of you lucky bastards. Also, and I mean this in the nicest way possible, fuck all of you lucky bastards.
  13. I was in a cage.
  14. This goes for anywhere in public. Not just quiet areas. Fuck those people. Sometimes it’s entertaining. The self checkout at the grocery store was a little backed up the other day. Guy in front of me was on the phone. Big guy with a really deep voice. Anyone within 30 feet of him could hear every word he said. I only heard one side of the conversation he was having, but I’m pretty sure he was getting laid when he got home.

  16. One of the better stories I have ever heard. Barnstorming was a thing back then in the MLB offseason. The pros needed the money. A college pitcher squaring off against Lou Gehrig in his prime is crazy. Wish you had the ball.
  17. How do you know when you’re going to die? If you live to 100 you might need it.
  18. Well, it’s still a wonderful story if I remember it 20 years later.
  19. I was talking about the dinger your relative gave up to Lou Gehrig while pitching for UT. My memory is slowly fading, but my vague recollection is that I thought you had that ball. It’s been a while.
  20. Do you still have that baseball with the wonderful backstory that you told me about a long time ago?
  21. There is a threshold where I would sell something that had a lot of sentimental value to me, but I don’t think my parents have anything that would reach that threshold. When the time comes, my sister and I will go through their stuff, pick out a few things we both want, maybe set aside a few things for her kids, and then have an estate sale. If dad has a T206 Honus Wagner or a 52 Topps Mickey Mantle hidden in his closet, it will be up for auction pretty quickly.
