  1. Nah, he's a solid dude. Hates Texas, but also watches every game because he's an Ag and his wife's family are longhorns. I got Aggie twitter coming at me in like 2012 and then String and I ended up twitter buddies.
  2. They were very sure in 2020 that if they'd gotten another shot at Alabama, they'd have won that time.
  3. lol I saw he looked at my profile after I looked at his. Bet I wasn't the only one!
  4. I agree with what Ryan is saying. We looked dominant in three games this year and have looked middling (Rice, Wyoming, OU) to bad (UH). The amount of talent the $9.95ers say we have varies week to week with how the team performs. It's very annoying! I will never forget Justin Wells tweeting "Wait til you see this coaching staff" after Herman was hired and then it was all of his Houston guys.
  5. Maybe it's battered fan syndrome, but I am way less confident than the general Texas inter webs seems to be that we will win out. We're still Texas, and he's still Sark.
  6. On that same line of thinking, Gerry mentioned that J. Cook and D. Moore need to play more for "recruiting purposes". Must mean Wingo doesn't think he'd play as a freshman?
  7. Bruce Feldman reported like 3 weeks ago that A&M would "find the money."
  8. I guess. Nahlin used to follow me on Twitter until the 2016 election or so, so I've been familiar with his feelings on things for awhile. I also know that Ian Boyd was a big Trump guy during the 2015/2016 primaries so I'm not unfamiliar with the cast of characters over there (once got into a twitter spat with him over whether the Crusades were a net good). I don't begrudge people their political beliefs, as much as I might disagree with them. It's how you act them out that matters. Everyone frothing at the mouth for the blood of the Turk over there is just appalling, and Scipio plopping in with a "WATCH" and a quote of Ben Shapiro ("Arabs swim in sewage") was disappointing. Lot of Dad-history buffs there living out their civilizational conflicts in an age of comfort.
  9. The more surprising one, to me, was Scipio. I figured he was a more measured Texas libertarian type, but he's downright bloodthirsty in that thread.
  10. Just want to pop in that this thread is vastly superior to its analogue on the IT politics board, which I accidentally stumbled into trying to find Scipio's latest post.
  11. So since Saturday Gerry has mentioned that "It's very clear what Texas A&M's strategy is recruiting against Texas is this year" many times. Wonder what it could be
  12. Nahlin is hinting at a former "lost cause" who is now back in play. Posters seem to have concluded it's Wesco.
  13. I'd guess this is his current guy on the staff. No other reason for him to care about some random staffer recruiting staffer. Also congrats to Mr. Bowen on his recent nuptials.
  14. "Durkin will never get another kid of mine" is an ominous quote considering his history.
  15. Yep. No sympathy for me. He had the pick of the litter and picked to go there.
  16. Was surprised when KU took him. Not that it's a den of piety but the kid's not as good as he thinks he is and was always a risk to do something like this. Oh well. Fuck Chris Beard.
