    Getting old sucks

I spent 50 years working in health care in the US; the only part of this I question is “best in the world.” Look up some real world comparisons and see how mediocre we can be.

    Getting old sucks

I’ve been wearing those for about 6 months (age 71). Love ‘em. Far from perfect in a loud, clattery restaurant environment, but still gamechangers. I even had to adopt a hand signal for my long-suffering wife (no photos) to turn her damned volume down when I have my ears in. You won’t regret the purchase; comfortable enough I wore ‘em to bed last night (again) and had to roll out and take them to the charger in the kitchen. Got mine at Costco. I’m saying, don’t wait! I waited at least 3 years too long-huge quality of life issue
  3. Nice photo, nice hat, and a nifty Remington (probably a Model 24) from back in the day when those gunmakers took a great deal of pride in their walnut and steel products. Looks like they’re having a good time, too!
  4. Blue Bell refused to allow return of several thousand $ worth of their Listeria ice cream from UT several years back, although they accepted and credited returns from several other Texas universities. Fuck aggy blue bell yesterday, today, tomorrow, and forever!
  5. You know, it occurred to me this morning, reading the last 3 o4 pages, that y’all need to recalibrate your baseline for brisket. Drive on up to Brownwood, eat at Underwood’s, then go back to a Lockhart place and compare. This is the golden age of Texas barbecue!
  6. At dawn from my Hill Country ledge FIGHT!
  7. Looks like the Panhandle to me-
  8. Or investigate Lost River Ammo .45 ACP loads. No, I’m not affiliated in any way. Just a very satisfied use.
  9. From a limestone ledge overlooking the mighty (?) Colorado: TEXAS!
  10. I’m 70. It was West Texas. Different world 60 years ago.
  11. My grandmother taught me to drive at 10 so I could wheel her up Highway 70 from Clarendon to Pampa so “we” could go shopping in her ‘64 Catalina. “Keep the needle under that 70 mark.” When my grandfather found out, he stuck me on a tractor. Hell, I bought my first vehicle at 13-$100 for a ‘37 Ford pickup.
  12. I don’t get it-
  13. Where??? I need to go there………………
  14. Seems to me, as an old fart fan, that Dak rolls all the best and the worst of Craig Morton, Gary Hogeboom, and Danny White into one package; tremendous physical abilities, highly suspect decision-making, and lacking leadership abilities completely. The Cowboys are turning me into a Sunday soccer fan……..
  15. Probably need to change up your drug intake.
