  1. I arrive in DC tomorrow and and leave Sunday. I have no idea where I'm going to eat and drink. I'm just going to arrive and see what I stumble upon.
  2. I would just start at Fenway and walk Boylston/Newbury street, through the Boston Commons, and to the North Side if the weather is good.

    TexMex

Montrose El Tiempo has half off fajitas every Wednesday
  4. That isn't a bad option. Start at Fenway and walk to the north end. Lot's of $1 oyster happy hours on the way. Democracy Brewing isn't a bad stop. ~$12 Uber from the north end.
  5. Red Sox suck. Everything is open and masks required inside.
  6. Just get to the North End. It will be a ~$12 Uber/Lyft. Lot's of historical sites in the area.
  7. Hoping the good Astros show up tonight
  8. Figured so. I'll be at the game tonight hopefully talking some shit.
  9. This is a dumb statement. Sure their accents, weather, and Duncan Donuts suck. But Boston is a great city and Fenway is one of the best MLB stadiums.
  10. I do like Hate's food suggestions, but the location isn't ideal. Back Bay, Prudential Central, or South End will get you to anywhere you want to go on the Orange and Green lines.
  11. I ate this for lunch today at Saltie Girl. Neptune is good but not worth the wait if there is a wait to get in. Staying in the South End area this time. Not a bad location that is also close to the Back Bay area. Going to the game tomorrow and boycotting Massachusetts beer.
  12. YOLO out of San Pedro? I see a few companies running this. Is there anyone particular I should book?
  13. Owl Bar is returning to the Rice Village 2424 Dunstan
  14. I think Chris Shepherd will do fine with all of the following he has. I pretty much don't ever go to any his restaurants other than Hay Merchant because they are all so damn expensive. Hell, even Hay Merchant is now charging $24 for a muffaletta and $18 for a philly cheese steak - it's getting ridiculous. I swear Chris Shepherd could open a hotdog stand and charge $12 for a hotdog ($16 with chili) and people would be lined up.
  15. COVID caused an additional backlog. Supposedly they are in the process of hiring additional help with these cases.
  16. Top tier in no particular order: Astral Great Heights Holler Equal Parts True Anomaly Local Group St. Arnold City Orchard - very good cider 2nd tier: Brash - I like what they do, but most of their beer are just too...brash Eureka Heights - A couple of very good beers and usually have a good rotation, but most of their beers aren't for me 8th Wonder - great place to hang out but beers are average Buffalo Bayou - great place to hang out but beers mostly suck Urban South Under The Radar New Magnolia Spindletap WTF are these guys doing? Don't even bother drinking here: Walking Stick - never had a good beer there Platypus Brewing - average beer at best I don't get outside the loop often and haven't visited many of the Greater Houston breweries: B-52 Brewing - visit if you are ever in the Conroe area. Nice spot and great beer No Label - not a bad place to visit if you are in the Katy area Leaving Karbach off the list because they are owned by InBev.
  17. Yeah, that dive was was on Holcombe. It reopened on Bissonet in 2008. Wasn't the same
  18. Rice Village never has been not safe. The original Galant Knight wasn't in the village. It was a little shack on Holcombe and closed 2006.
  19. Google some tennis elbow exercises. The pain might linger for a couple of months. Don't use a compression sleeve when sleeping. Wear this
  20. The 5th ward could eventually become more like the 3rd ward over the years. The 3rd ward residents are trying to keep gentrification to a minimum, but Midtown will eventually expand to the 3rd ward.
