  1. I also have this slow cooker recipe. •1 1/2 or 2 pounds round steak, chuck roast, or similar meat •4 tablespoons all-purpose flour •2 tablespoons oil •1 large onion, chopped •1 cup chopped celery •3 or 4 jalapeños, stems and seeds removed, chopped •2-1/2 cups beef stock •2 tablespoons tomato paste •1/2 teaspoon ground cumin •2 teaspoons chili powder Flour the meat and brown it on pretty high heat. Dump the browned meat in the crockpot with the remaining ingredients. Stir, and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours. ** you can also skip 1 cup of beef stock and add a half cup of green tomatillo salsa.
  2. The original Tacos A Go Go in midtown has a solid carne guisada.
  3. brown 3 pounds of sirloin steak in oil (can also use round steak or boneless beef chuck shoulder) 3 tablespoons vegetable oil 1 onion 2 bell pepper 2 cups water 3 tablespoons flour 1 tablespoon garlic powder 1 tablespoon cumin 1/2 tablespoon of salt 1/2 tablespoon pepper 4 ounces tomato sauce or use a can of Hatch diced tomatoes & green chiles instead of tomato sauce, beer instead of water, and add about a tablespoon of beef base.
  4. Season 4 will be the end of the show. You guys will have to find a new show to bicker about.

  6. I know Kingwood people. They are voting republican regardless. Hell, I could see most of them voting Kathalene Wall if she was on the ballot.
  7. I agree with this. It's similar to some of the major streets that went from 2 lanes each way to 1 lane each way, but with a dedicated turn lane in the middle. Traffic still flows. You might see 100 riders a day on this route at most, but more bike lanes are needed. It's just not safe to bike around Houston on the major arteries. Bike lanes are relatively cheap to build and maintain.
  8. Living in Montrose bodes well from me. I just have to wait for the gay clubs to reopen. Try ‘glory holes’ for safer sex during coronavirus, B.C. CDC says https://globalnews.ca/news/7204384/coronavirus-glory-holes-sex/?utm_medium
  9. It doesn't matter. The Kingwood votes will carry Crenshaw again. Litton never had a chance in 2018 and neither does Sima.
  10. Any song Presidents Of The USA released. Worst band of the 90's. The Offspring is 2nd on the lyric list.
  11. The Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center now tests everyone for antibodies when donating blood. They started this process in June.
  12. I'm gong to sell my house, cash in my 401k, and take the tax penalties. Move to Ecuador. Ecuador cost of living is cheap. They take American currency and the country has a good health system.
  13. Shit going down after County District Attorney did some auditing. Five of the six are charged with falsifying government documents used in narcotics investigations. https://abc13.com/hpd-officers-charged-with-felonies-linked-to-botched-raid/6289529/
  14. Never wad a fan of Pistoleros food, but the fajitas sound intriguing.
  15. Those are good and low in calories, but I ate 6 of them in about 15 minutes. I guess that defeats the purpose of a low calorie snack.
  16. The Camden across Randalls? That is not a bad location at all. The homeless problem must have recently got bad then because I don't remember seeing many issues like above. Heights is ok, but I wouldn't live there in my 20's. Midtown in more walkable and easy to get to downtown/Montrose.
  17. Definitely Midtown if he is in 20's. Downtown is also good, but more expensive. Stay away from Edo - UTPhil2006 lives out there.
  18. El Camino Real & Wilbarger Kayak Trails
  19. Acme Oyster Hose is moving in the where El Real was. I've never been because why wait in that line when you can go to Drago's. https://houston.eater.com/2020/5/11/21254974/acme-oyster-house-opening-houston-expansion-new-orleans
  20. Oh yeah, you can also use the Camp Chef as a gas grill. A couple of grates ate included.
  21. I have the Camp Chef and it's perfect. It also don't have the grease drainage issue the Blackstone has.
  22. Pizza commercials saying they guarantee no one will touch your pizza once it's out of the oven. Ummm...thanks? This is now a thing since March 2020?
  23. Maybe things have changed. I see 13 Samsung apps and 3 Galaxy apps running on my phone.
