  1. Yay! Another year of getting knocked out of the playoffs in the 2nd round.
  2. Go to Cuchara for pozole
  3. That was just stupid not to walk Soto there
  4. Traveler's Table looks intriguing. I'm going to check out Eugene's Gulf Coast Cuisine (formerly Danton's) this week.
  5. I'm guessing the thought is Mez is 9am drunk.
  6. I have been a Samsung fan since the Galaxy S4. Looking to update my S8 and want 5G compatibility. My S8 is the perfect size, and from what I've seen the Galaxy S10 5G looks nice but is very bulky. Does the Oneplus 7 Pro fit in a front pocket easily (no skinny jeans)? I read the Oneplus 7 Pro 5G camera is improved with a software update. Maybe I'll wait next year for the OnePlus 8 or the Samsung Galaxy S11. Although it sounds like the S11 will be very pricey.
  7. This is my only knock on Hinch in the playoffs. Alvarez needs to sit every game a lefty starts against the Astros.
  8. Exactly what I was thinking. My only concern is Urquidy hasn't pitched in a while and might be rusty with his location. Also, I would have started Diaz tonight. Hinch needs to play him more. Hell, even play him in the outfield.
  9. And the Pixel 4 doesn't have a fingerprint sensor. The facial recognition is supposed to be imitate so no big deal when logging in, but there are a lot of apps out that that only use fingerprint for authentication. Also a telephoto lens, but no ultra-wide angle lens.
  10. Brantley in RF scares me. He doesn't make many errors, but he has horrible range and below average arm.
  11. I was there for game 3 in 2017. It really wasn't that loud other than the NFL wannabe bleacher fans throwing beer on people. Boston in 2018 was a much better atmosphere.
  12. I still don't think you would care. Things would be the same in Houston 22 years later if the Oilers had stayed. Tennessee has been 8 inches short of accomplishing anything since leaving Houston.
  13. At least you don't have to drive out to Dodger stadium anymore.
  14. I missed Osaka, but enjoyed Kobe for a couple of days.
  15. Montrose - Revelry. They should also have the game with sound at Hay Merchant (1/2 price Houston beers when the local team is winning) Midtown - Beer Market Co. or Woodrows Downtown - I watched the game at BirdDog Saint Saturday and it wasn't bad. Flying Saucer is next door, but not really a sports bar. Christians Tailgate I don't think the bars will be too crowded tonight, but it might depend on the bar.
  16. That asshole stood me up. Never met me out for game 1.
  17. So does Tampa. They are a hockey city and don't care much for their baseball and football teams unless they are winning.
  18. There was a Buzbee representative with a setup at the National Night Out event last night in my Montrose neighborhood. She was there for about 45 minutes and left - not one person talked to her. Buzbee will be getting votes from Kingwood, Memorial, and River Oaks. Basically the Trump votes.
  19. Correa will be playing in the playoffs
  20. Oaxaca City is a great to visit. Hit the mezcal bars and perhaps a distillery. Eat mole. Visit Zona Arqueológica de Monte Albán. Walk around the city.
  21. Meant to say I think East Hampton only lasted a year. I'm sure FM Bar will do well.
  22. There will be a new location in Montrose soon. Where East Hampton Sandwich used to be. I think they last maybe a year

    Roy Orbison

The first I heard of him was when Van Halen sang Pretty Woman. I didn't know who Roy Orbison was at the time, but I thought it was a pretty cool song (looking back that song sucked). Then I got into the Traveling Wilburys and Roy died soon afterward. As I got older I listened to Roy Orbison more and I realized how talented he was with lyrics and how he sang with an amazing vocal range. To this day I think my favorite song is Crying. In Dreams is a close 2nd. Just listening to his lyrics you could tell he had heartbreak throughout his life. Before my time, but I didn't know he played at ACL in 1982. Maybe Armybrat saw him. It's on youtube. My favorites: Crying In Dreams It's Over Running Scared Only The Only Dream Anything you Want Only The Lonely You Got It Dream Baby
