  1. It's going to suck in November as far as daytime goes. Sunset is around 3:30pm. Find a cute Swedish girl to cuddle up with. That's my only other recommendation,
  2. Sarcasm. It's always "surly and the jump to conclusions before facts come out" team who knows what actually happened.
  3. I was told it was all Milo Yiannopoulos and politically motivated.
  4. Yeah, but the run differential the past two games. On Pace for 90 wins
  5. Armando's used to be fun on Thursday night. It would turn into a dance party with a dj. I wonder if they still do that.
  6. This might work. https://houston.eater.com/2018/6/27/17510878/kau-ba-saigon-kitchen-nikki-tran-opening-july-2018 Kau Ba Saigon Kitchen, the Montrose restaurant from Vietnamese chef Nikki Tran, is preparing to open its doors next month. A representative for the restaurant tells Eater that Kau Ba Saigon Kitchen will make its debut before the end of July, bringing Tran’s unique fusion of Cajun and Vietnamese — or as she calls it, “Viejun” — cuisine to Space City. As Eater reported in March, the restaurant will open inside the space formerly occupied by recently-departed wine bar Bacchus at 2502 Dunlavy Street. The menu isn’t finalized just yet, but diners can expect a “retro, Saigon pre-1975” vibe at Kau Ba Saigon Kitchen, and dishes that fuse the culinary traditions of both Vietnam and Houston. Tran’s cuisine earned raves from chef and food personality David Chang, who featured her Ho Chi Minh City restaurant Ca Ba Quan in the first season of his Neflix show Ugly Delicious. Kau Ba Saigon Kitchen is expected to arrive on July 21. Stay tuned for more details on what the menu will look like.
  7. Go to the Rangers. Nevermind, that's handjobs
  8. Jesus, I thought you were drunk or a troll. It turns out your just a bitter old man.
  9. Ok, so I don't recommend pre-cutting the flank steak. It was tender and it tasted good, but it was more like a stir fry. I didn't get the char. I also had some pork chops that needed to be cooked. They were solid.
  10. The chef at Cold Cove Bar in Houston used to serve these raw back when they were open. Good eating fish.
  11. I had a friend who used to live here and had no complaints. https://www.har.com/calais-midtown/apartment_4229A Not all of Midtown is young. You would be in between downtown and Montrose and easy access to I-45 (until they tear it apart), and a short Uber to everywhere. EaDo is up and coming, but not much retail. Heights, Washington/Rice Military are good options. I think downtown would be out of your price range. I prefer Montrose, but I'm biased because I live in the area. Edit: Some people complained of maintenance issues lately at those apartments above. That complex might be aging. Can't beat the location though,
  12. That's it. I'm going to cook up some BEEF fajitas tomorrow and do a side by side comparison. Pre-cut and not, using the same marinade.
  13. Downtown Main St. and Market Square area is always happening on the weekend evenings. Sundays are hit or miss. That is where the majority of the bars are. If you want to Airbnb, Midtown and Montrose have more going on than the Heights. Heights is cool though. Don't even attempt to wakl to St.Arnolds.
  14. Skirt steak is best on a grill, not the griddle. I would never pre-cut meat while using a grill. For the griddle, a lot of meats you cook hot and quick like in a wok. Pre-cut cooks better and marinades better. Chicken (fajitas for that RedHorn asshat) you can pre-cut or not.
  15. You say that, but you won't taste the difference.
  16. Cook a shitload of bacon on it
  17. Yes the butcher will slice the ribeye for you, but with a strange look. You can also buy the ribeye and freeze it slightly and then cut it yourself. It's easier to cut when frozen a bit.
  18. I like to cut the beef or chicken before putting it on the griddle. Easier to cook.
  19. The bike will be fine around town just as long as it's not left overnight. Locked an hour or so here and there should be fine. I find the combination locks easier because you don't have to hassle with a key. Also make sure it's not locked only to the wheel if you have quick release.
  20. I told my friend it felt like we were in Uptown Dallas, but worse. There are some low key places in the area though.
  21. - Stayed in the Stureplan area. Very rich and expensive area, but it's in the middle of everything. You might enjoy Gamla Stan (Old Town) better. Transit is good in Stockholm - Sodermalm - Monteliusvagen is nice at sunset - Took a water taxi Fjäderholmarna. It's a nice boat ride to kill some time and get out of the city. Pretty decent brewery called Fjäderholmarnas Bryggeri, and a whiskey distillery close to each other. - The Globe is kind of neat, but might not be worth your time if you are on a tight schedule - Plenty to eat and drink wherever you go. Stureplan can be trendy and dress code at some places.
  22. Put me on team Madrid. Less touristy, no prostitutes running around trying to pickpocket, and better food in Madrid . The only minus is no beaches if you are into that. Madrid could be scorching hot in August and most of the locals will be out of the city on vacation.
  23. Taco Cabana nocahes after a long night of drinking is delicious. No pics because it looks disgusting but tastes great
  24. It was just stupid the people here saying he should be DFA'd back in April. edit: Iconoclast beat me to it. Keuchel will turn it around after the break.
  25. This probably should go in the Unpopular Opinions Thread thread. Beef ribs are overrated. Why pay that extra money when the old fashioned brisket is just as good and cheaper?
