  1. Card can do this. That's the type of shit that's gonna take us with momentum into the second half. Believe
  2. Our defensive line has been applying pressure. Full chubb.
  3. Bama knows Card gets shook easily so they are blitzing him. THey are going to keep blitzing him all game long.
  4. I'm glad they are at least letting Card throw it now. I'm ok with them easing him in.
  5. Just standard shingled roof. Yes all trusses are made with 2x4's. Most people I talk to are surprised because they all have 2x6's and a much more open design. Makes sense that you can have a more open design since the stiffness of a 6" inch wide board is going to be much higher. Thanks for explaining the load path for the existing design that makes sense. If I was just replacing the middle trusses like this, wouldn't this combat the roof rafters from sagging in a similar manner? I understand its not geometrically symmetrical BUT that doesn't mean it can't somewhat similarly distribute the loads and not flex too much in any location. I can solve the systems of equations to obtain the loads at each point but then what? I feel like what one would need to be looking for is max deflections at key points and them having to be smaller than some threshold per some code.
  6. I'll look for one, don't want the roof caving on me because I did some shitty ass job.
  7. You're not kidding. I've done a whole lot of that. I had a garage fire half a year ago just moved back in. I've probably donated several truck load full of shit. Several other truck loads of burnt shit to the dump. Still, there are some things that remain that need to go in the attic b/c my little yard isn't big enough for a proper shed.
  8. No wall under the center where all the trusses meet. Under this is a two car garage. I would definitely leave the center 2x4's alone too if I did it the way I was thinking.
  9. And yes I know... username checks out. Here goes dad fucking up the house again.
  10. I have the queen web config and I'd kind of want to morph that into a hybrid attic configuration except it would have a center post unlike the design below.
  11. Hey guys, is anyone qualified to give an opinion on a possible modification of one side of my attic to open up some room so I can actually store some shit in there? I'm thinking I could cut the existing trusses as shown only on the right side and then install vertical ones in place. Then also add some smaller ones up top as seen in the top left. I wouldn't touch the left side and I would leave the vertical center pieces in place. Would this cause any issues? I'm not going to do it if it will make it weaker or subject to imbalanced loads that could cause premature cracking in the garage walls or worse.
  12. Shoot if I was in Austin I'd be down. But I'm in DFW.
  13. This is exactly correct. I just wasn’t going to incriminate myself on here directly and haven’t yet lol. There’s probably more creative ways as well.
  14. I think these have doors that swing but I get your point! I think I’ve settled for having a local contractor crew here in DFW build me one out of wood on the spot. I just got quoted $2800 for them to build me an 8x16 which seems like a great deal. I don’t have to tear my fence down to bring in a prebuilt one that way. I could build my own if any material type but man now that I’m getting older I just don’t have the time.
  15. I've never put together a shed. Reading the review people took anywhere from 1 - 2 days to assemble them so it does sound tedious. How about the vinyl & resin sheds? Those are also fairly economical and wouldn't have issues with rot or rust. Only thing I can think of is that they might warp in the Texas heat?
  16. It's hard to beat the price of the galvanized steel storage sheds. At Lowes, it's only about $675 for a 10 x 8 ft, with 2 4x8 tongue and groove OSB subfloor sheets, 9 concrete deck blocks and 6 2x4x10 pressure treated boards. I think that's all I'd need. Why not get this instead of a wooden shed that will likely cost 2 or 3 times as much especially with COVID having doubled the price of wood? Is it THAT flimsy?
  17. Not sure who Swam is or familiar with his threads or intentions. My goal here isn't to entertain, it was to ask for help in finding an address and I'm almost there because someone shared a great website. I've already been ridiculed and told to fuck off and I didn't even have to type out the whole story so why work harder to get more flack... If the people who were actually helpful want to hear it sure I'll put in the work to type it out otherwise I'm ok.
  18. Yes of course. I've had his number the entire time. But "Hey man I know you scammed me and live somewhere else, do you mind helping a brother out and texting me your new address so I can serve you" Not sure I understand your angle with that one.
  19. Like a chemical voo-doo doll.. makes sense. Will report back in a few hours after eating a shit load of apple seeds.
  20. Holy shit. So thanks to you guys I was able to track down his most recent address and then looked up the owner on the local county assessor's website then used her contact info to find her cell phone. Turns out this guy literally just finished screwing this 87 year old lady who is a widow and cancer survivor. She said she rented him her little home in Edmond, OK and he didn't pay rent, trashed her place and stole some of the things she owned in it. Family heirlooms etc gone. This is why I'm pursuing tainting his record even more. I knew this was what he was doing when his BG report is full of changed address every two months. This guy is moving around place to place doing this to other people. She said she had his forwarding address and would be glad to text me it later. She wants to pursue legal action against him as well if he doesn't pay for all of the damages. He's promised to pay her back much like he did to me but we all know thats a lie. Someone needs to beat this guys ass.
  21. Yes exactly. The BG report contained several of his emails. I did find his Facebook profile. I have his cell phone ( I don't know why a text with a link wouldn't suffice but that's too futuristic ). I will contact my courts tomorrow to ask about this option thanks!
  22. Ok but only if I physically give you the cash because there's no way you could scam me when I'm right there with you... wait.
  23. No you're right, BUT IMO if you keep turning the other cheek every time someone takes advantage of you then you are going to keep getting taken advantage of. Now of course me looking to bring this guy down a notch isn't going to mean that the next time someone tries to take advantage of me I'll have some kind of protection against it. It's more of a feeling I have that this will "make things more right" and I get to fight back a little. The ironic thing in your response is that the guy seemed very religious. He had all kinds of religious things in his house. He seemed like a nice guy all around so it was very shocking when he pulled this.
  24. EXACTLY. I even have the pictures of the prices he wanted written down on a piece of paper on his desk. I have so much proof of his shenanigans that a judge would be excited to bring the hammer down on him in two seconds. He was just grasping at straws to try to justify what he did. End of the day he had sellers remorse and figured he could get away with it.
