  1. If they didn't call holding on that they're not gonna call it tonight at all
  2. Can you stop posting that in the game thread please
  3. How long have you used it for? I've not tried this one but I've found 6 months is about when they clog.
  4. I actually like "She had me at..", it's a fun song. I didn't know Jo Dee Messina was actually in the video, that's pretty cool. You know what song I really hate?
  5. A good reminder to digitize my backlog of old photos and home recordings.
  6. i think it's easier now more than ever. chappelle roan, billie eilish, post malone just to name a few, all got started with uploading their own stuff to the internet and going viral.
  7. The LOVB Austin team is full of longhorns. Zoe, chiaka, madi, Logan, Asjia, SKT, khat, molly mccage, Julianne faucette(!!). Stacy Sykora's an AC. I know she's an Aggie but she's always been one of my favorites. We just lost to Houston in the 5th set. We were up 2 sets to 0 and up 11-5 in the 5th but found a way to lose.
  8. So I'm watching Madi play for Lovb Austin. Is she done with school?
  9. Several posters upthread have detailed the difficulties of firefighting in the hills of central Texas and as difficult as that is the problems they have in the actual mountains and canyons of socal are orders of magnitude greater than what we face here.
  10. Are prices for admitted and non-admitted policies the same? Is there a premium for admitted policies?
  11. The flat topography we have makes it easier to fight fires and also doesn't contribute to the 60+mph winds that spread the CA fires. Makes a world of difference.
  12. You hear of insurance companies going insolvent but not much about reinsurance companies going the same way. Seems like you should hear more about reinsurance going bankrupt if the system was working like it's supposed to. So are reinsurers refusing to write for certain parts of portfolios or are the insurance companies just not buying enough reinsurance to cover all their assets?
  13. Come on now, no need to be hyperbolic. NYC transit's main achievement is how many people it moves every day. Its coverage area is huge and does a great job with access points. Lines do go out of service but no more so than in London or Paris*. I've never been to Athens so I can't speak to their system but I suspect in terms of pop size and area NYC and Athens are going to make poor comparison partners. *Of those 3 I've spent the least amount of time in NY so maybe Ive managed to go at favorable times.
  14. I see. Pleasantness and vibe are going to depend on the local population. Culturally speaking NYC has one of the worst reputations for that. Comparing it to Tokyo, HK, London, or even Paris is going to make it look even worse. In terms of getting you where you're needing to go I've found the NY metro transit system is just as efficient as any other I've been on.
  15. I have. Many times. I've never felt NYC's public transportation was lacking compared to any of those cities which is why I asked. Does the NYC Metro have a high crime rate? I've never felt unsafe on there and I've ridden on that thing at all times of day in every neighborhood. Even on their buses I've never really felt in danger.
  16. How are you defining that where NYC doesn't qualify?
  17. Why are they expanding the mandatory evacuation, are they expecting the Eaton fire to move west? They've had it contained decently well for the past few hours.
  18. hah that's right.
  19. Oral. Roberts.
  20. I'm fixing to do that tmw night. Except with tator tots.
  21. $5.5 for Chris Martin. Well done.
  22. Please let this be Jerry being petty and not he's going to hire him back.
  23. A bulging disc is going to be more than two weeks. He might try to play after two weeks but he's not going to be anywhere near 100%. I'd be very surprised if he even tries to play after two weeks.
