  1. He's taken Dallas to the WCF twice in three years. The first time he did it he was playing through a bum ankle and his starting four teammates were Dwight Powell, Reggie Bullock, Dorian Finney Smith, and a pre emergent Jalen Brunson. The last time he did it was 8 months ago when he was playing on one leg. He's been first team all-NBA the past five years. Despite missing time each season. There's some facts. You don't trade Luka because of those nagging injuries. Even if you're worried about his long term health you take calls from other teams.
  2. Without knowing anything else, I fear Nico and the Adelsons have grossly miscalculated. Even if we win the championship this season, there will be a sizable portion of the fan base who won't care because Luka's not here. Trade Kyrie or gafford and it'll be even worse.
  3. He wasn't traded because he missed those games this year. It only makes sense if the Dallas medical team sees something impacting his ability to play long term.
  4. Either Nico or the Adelsons just severely underestimated the ability of Dallas fans to not care. I find it hard to believe that Nico, after his decisions about Lively, Gafford, PJ, and Klay, would go out and do something as wildly irresponsible as not soliciting better return for Luka than AD and a first round pick 4 years down the road. A future first rounder is the same price we paid for PJ and gafford.
  5. AD is top ten this season but Lukas on a trajectory to be top 10 of all time. This doesn't make sense. There's gotta be something we don't know. Health issue? Directive from Miriam adelson? You'd still start a bidding war though.
  6. If you're selling the price is the cash bid. If you're selling a larger amount and give them a heads up they'll be more ready to accommodate you and can work around your schedule (or their schedule) also.
  7. Capital Coin and Bullion is the only place I'd go to in Austin. They're local and honest. Don't walk in there with a big stash. Call first. You said you're not going to sell, but if you do decide to one day I'd suggest selling in small lots over time. It's not that the MSRP is listed for under strike, it's that they sell high demand pieces for not much over strike and if you use your Costco Visa credit card and factor in the 4% cash back at the end of the year THEN you're essentially getting it for under strike. Set up an alert on SlickDeals for "Costco Gold" to email you whenever someone makes a post about a new batch and if you see it within the first 15 minutes you should be able to find it in stock (yes you can buy online).
  8. It's telling you think the insults being thrown at posters with opposing political beliefs are funny and joke worthy. There are posts wishing literal harm and death on people because they're on the other side of the aisle. We teach our kids that's bullying. But apparently after they graduate from college it's funny to you. And freeloading? You might own it now but this is a message board that blacklab built which you happened to be a part of. The content here is a collection of several thousand posters' input, insight, and creativeness. You didn't generate this. I appreciate the work you've put into running and maintaining the website and the vision you have with NIL but you've lost the perspective of what made this board great in the first place.
  9. If you want participation you gotta foster an environment where people don't get shouted down or crowdsourced for comments running contrary to one group or another. There are areas of this board that have slowly turned into dirty sixth where people of a certain ilk congregate and they start to wander off into other areas. You can try to contain them to their own sections of the website but it's not working. Most of us are tired of having to wade through that trash.
  10. Yup. The most frequent posters on those two boards set a disgusting tone of unchecked hostility that's permeated into the other forums.
  11. As if he didn't love the dog enough already.
  12. My wife works for UT. Today she helped out a coworker from the visual marketing department by partaking in a survey. She had to look at different two-dimensional lines, some were straight, some squiggly, some lightning bolt shaped etc, and sort them into categories of emotions they elicit: fright, comfort, warmth, danger, etc. my wife asked her coworker if she watched Severance, she doesn't.
  13. Yup, volume licenses. Buy them per computer for the lifetime of the computer. Easy enough.
  14. Wasn't the episode out Thursday night, not Wednesday night?

    That's funny. Basically, "you'll see."
  16. This policy pays a government worker 2/3 of his yearly salary to jump to a more lucrative private workforce situation with better benefits. What.
  17. Sorry to hear brisket. As beautiful as your words were I am sure he was that much more so.

Any ideas on what formation we'll be trotting out to start with?
  19. I got to campus in Aug 2000, the only places I know on that list are Paradise and Shady Grove. Players closing hurt more than any other place. So many cherished memories.
  20. Maybe this will be useful. I don't know how to help otherwise.
  21. Don't forget, outtie Irv kept the key to the trunk with the fake bottom in his pant pocket at all times. The map and list with the names of all those Lumon employees was in that trunk. Did he keep that key in his pocket hoping the overtime contingency would happen sometime and his innie would find it? Does he keep painting to sear the hallway into his subconscious mind so that his innie sees it to? We see the black paint bleeding into his innie's consciousness, is that from his mind going haywire from a lack of sleep? Is that why outtie Irv is always blasting music and slinging caffeine?
  22. I've never read it cover to cover like a novel so I started doing that last year from page 1. I'm using the MacArthur Study Bible, all the notes are helpful. Really helps to reinforce the gulf there is between the holiness of God and the sinfulness of man (and myself).
  23. Sorry sir, that spot's been filled though we are still taking applications for a Ms. Harmony Cobel.
  24. agree with austingirl.
