  1. how big of a deal physically is it going from grass to clay? she'll be done in london by the second week of july. the olympics start on the 22nd? 24th? is there really an injury risk there?
  2. I see Dwight Powell and a couple scrubbs
  3. Last night was our nadir.
  4. if it's written in poetic or one of the other formal forms your typical chinese reader won't be able to make sense of the meaning even though they can read the individual characters. it's somewhat like a typical american picking up a legal document for the first time and trying to understand what's going on. that works
  5. google translate shoulda told you it means dragon. or maybe it couldn't i dunno. for context, here's the simplified way to write dragon. 龙 i probably can't help too much but post a pic.

  7. He's got a lot of miles for 25. I'm glad he's considering not playing for country. After he's healed I hope he finds a way to condition without putting so much stress on his lower body. Throw him in the pool and have him swim everyday. He baits defenders. It's not an overwhelming part of his game but I don't like it especially when he stops playing in consternation at a no call. At best it's a wasted offensive possession and then a 4 on 5 transition situation on the other end of the floor. At worst it's that and then Luka going on tilt.
  8. he started playing with real madrid's senior team at 16. he played his last game with them when he was 19. so yeah, he's never going to look like that again, but that's a good thing. he's never been more fit in his life than the start of this season. he needs to keep up that level of conditioning and if possible improve on it (that'd be great) but it's not the biggest issue he needs to address. that would be his maturity- not letting things he can't control affect his focus and his game. just like you have to get to your spot on the floor no matter what defenses the other team throws at you, you have to keep playing your game no matter what the refs throw at you. conditioning what's between his ears is, at this point, what'll grow him the most.
  9. He was in shape til april. He hasn't been able to stay in shape for the past two months because he's been trying to get healthy enough to just take the court.
  10. He's been getting daily injections in both knees for the past 2 months. I think we're going to be surprised at how bad of an injury he was playing through.
  11. Find another priest. The entire chapter of Hebrews 11 speaks of the certainty of faith. Hebrews 11 1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. 2 This is what the ancients were commended for. 3 By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. ..... In Romans 8 Paul testifies to his certainty in Jesus. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, or anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Don't listen to teachers who diminish Scripture.
  12. Defensive stats don't mean anything if you're a prolific scorer. Good talk thanks.
  13. that doesn't explain why dallas is worse off defensively when luka's off the floor. fact is luka's a better defensive player than 1.) what he was showing in games 1-3 and 2.) what the media narrative was after those games. and to your second paragrahph, when luka goes out it's one of josh green, maxi kleber, or dante exum that goes in. all three of them are above average defenders.

  15. We've been dropping streamers after every home playoff win.
  16. i'm surprised the titan made it to the titanic as many times as it did before imploding.
  17. luka's cavalier attitude towards ball protection drives me nuts. i hate that he insists our role players stand on the perimeter so he knows where his outs are when he's in trouble. we need to be cutting and rolling to the paint. the bolded part is what we need to address this offseason. this series could be a godsend for our chances to resign DJjr.
  18. he came into the season around 225. he's probably around 245 rn but hard to tell with alll the wraps he's got. the weight gain since the break is a function of not being able to work out and resting as much as possible from nagging lower body injuries. his conditioning is paying off in that he's not only able to play through these injuries but also able to play at a high level. he's completely altered his offense to adapt to his injuries but he's still reeling off triple doubles after being hunted on defense.
  19. yeah makes it to the nba finals but he can't win. it's a troll take and you should be ashamed of yourself for quoting it.
  20. for all the talk about how unstoppable boston is on offense, how bad luka has been on defense, and despite the nightmare inducing 3 point barrages that replay through my mind in the small hours of the night we've done decently on defense. if only we could score. regular season avg: 120.6 ppg miami series: avg 107.8 114 101 104 102 118 cleveland series: avg 113.2 120 118 106 109 113 indiana series: avg 119.5 133 126 114 105 our series: avg 106 107 105 106
  21. if you can't tell the difference you haven't been paying attention.
  22. yup his conditioning is fine. he's in the best shape he's ever been in despite playing fiba last offseason. started conditioning the first day of offseason in 2023. hired a nutritionist and changed his eating habits. came into camp 20 pounds lighter. it's why he's been able to play at all in the playoffs despite having this knee injury. he needs to be more consistent. our game plan since the trades has been to funnel everything to the paint where lively and gafford are. it's been working. top 5 defense since may. 23rd before that. in the playoffs up til the finals he's been very good. he finally hit the wall against the celtics from the combination of them hunting him every time down the floor and then having to constantly run out to different players on the 3 pt line.
  23. Along with the lack of defense mentioned above Hardy has only recently (past few months) taken this next step into being a reliable decision maker with the ball. Some of that had to do with Exum being so good up til the playoffs but it looks like the game finally slowed down for Hardy right after the ASB. Josh Green has always been untouchable in trade talks but now I think he and Hardy are both on the same level and definitely trade assets.
