  1. That's wild. How old are you?
  2. Nice, that's cheaper than chuck.
  3. Stream is free... https://www.pbs.org/video/leonardo-da-vinci-part-one-the-disciple-of-experience/
  4. Got a call from Roflbox this morning. He's lucid and aware of what's going on. Sounds strong but of course unsure of what the immediate future holds. Wanted me to pass along that he saw the game yesterday and has limited ability to surf the web between treatments but is down his right thumb. Keep praying.
  5. He's more than just bully ball, he's the facilitator the entire offense runs through.
  6. now that's a humblebrag.
  7. We were there that day and just missed it happening. Found out a couple hours after. My wife and I both were shaken to the core.
  8. i was thinking @52-80 was talking about heat waste rather than money waste. i hate when my oven and stove are working against my ac. it's why we switched to mostly induction and use the smallest size oven needed to fit whatever we're cooking.

    Gumbo

What. Soups, stews - they all come to a boil with the lid on and then get turned off and no one touches it until the next day when it comes back to a boil before consuming or portioning out. Leftovers, they go into tupperware and then into the fridge. I can't imagine what an entire pot of gumbo going into the fridge right off the simmer would do to the surrounding food.
  10. btw if you have an android, gemini is really good for latest injury updates etc
  11. it's a geography joke
  12. useful as a shield from stray bullets.
  13. Where were the tamales from?
  14. Past few years I've been using my instant pot for it. Meat goes in frozen, a cup and a half of raw rice, 2T oil, 2T salt, and stew for an hour and a half.
  15. When I hit my late 30s pizza just didn't sit right anymore. I'd eat two slices and just feel it sitting like a block of wet dough. Just made me feel nasty. Nothing else has the same effect.
  16. I've always thought that. Romo was much the better qb and familiar with everything in the system .
  17. I want to know who signed that warrant.
  18. did you ever successfully lure in any kids with your paleta cart?
  19. The police put her in the squad car and they didn't leave the property until the grandma came. I found the body cam video of the arrest but can't figure out how to plop it into my post. Just surreal. https://www.thefp.com/p/her-son-went-for-a-walk-she-was-charged
  20. Oh yes forgot about that. What happens if he accepts the assistant to the janitor role but does it so poorly they fire him? Wonder if he still gets the full $4mm.
  21. I thought whomever upthread asked "how did they field a lineup" was being hyperbolic but now I see he meant that literally. Wonder if Willie Green thought about suiting up, he's only a few years older than Lebron.
  22. ... for a kid to walk alone. https://abcnews.go.com/US/georgia-moms-arrest-puts-free-range-parenting-back/story?id=116004039 In Texas there's no law stating how old a child has to be to be left alone at home. We started leaving our kids alone around 5 to make quick trips to the library to return books (1/4 mile away) and around 7 to drop the other kids off at daycare etc. We let our three oldest kids (13, 12, 10) walk to the library or bike around the 10 miles of trails in our neighborhood. I've let them bike to soccer practice (1 mile on the trails)- their school's closer than that. This is crazy to me.
