  1. does the timeline hold that - a.) she initially was getting a hysterectomy due to symptoms, which is why the original easter timeline for recovery was given b.) but in the process of recovery it was discovered she had ovarian cancer and thus had to get an oophorectomy which she is recovering from and also c.) recovering chemo for now?
  2. Did yours come in yet? Mine just got here, it feels a lot smaller than my other 59fifty caps.
  3. Looking back it seems like a couple major outlets were given the heads up about a major health issue in play which was why they handled her with kid gloves.
  4. no, it doesn't. the incentives to succeed are different. your life as a private company depends on your ability to succeed. the directors have skin in the game beyond their paycheck (if they're receiving a paycheck at all). as a public agency you're pretty much guaranteed a job- i worked in a public agency. my wife works in one now. we have BOTH been told to slow down our work pace because the results are outpacing the agency's expected output which would result in less funding next year. in my current private company (finance) we have 5% reviews every year- the bottom 5% are fired. it works the same way at microsoft, google, apple, etc. that doesn't happen at TCEQ or TRS.
  5. i guess you're talking to me. i can you tell you from firsthand experience that many more in the public sector, when compared to the private sector, don't care about their jobs past the fact that they have it and don't try at all. that was the question posed. you don't agree that there's an attitude of doing "just enough" in city hall? in our police departments? in our elected reps? take an inventory of your time spent on your keyboard- every other post of yours is you yelling at them.
  6. there's not really a way to mess up ageing pheasant. you literally just hang it from the neck. don't even clean it. i think it was just a bit of messy writing from clavell.
  7. Used to play in the league there and at 9pm it would still be hot enough to where you had to burrow under to avoid getting burned. It was nuts.

  15. he coulda been a regular joe for $168. or as regular a joe as you can be with $168 over the next handful of years.
  16. When does the gold trim stuff go on sale?
  17. Wait I'm pretty sure she doesn't have any affiliation with the royal family. She just does her own thing.
  18. Marquess Chamaodksnsnaly. Marquis is a French title. The woman married to the Marquess is the Marchioness.
  19. How is anyone watching this without subtitles? I tried it for a little bit and missed probably 25% of what they were saying. All of the Japanese characters, esp hiroyuki sanada, are cast well compared to the 80s miniseries. Mariko is pretty enough to be believable without being overly gorgeous. Buntaro and ishige aren't caricatures. The way they depicted the leprous lord is interesting. I'm disappointed in how they're telling the story by changing the event order from the books though. I thought the original miniseries made a good decision in faithfully keeping that storyline. By changing the events to emphasize the geopolitical storyline they're losing what is to me the also very compelling stories of several characters, both primary and secondary. The cinematography and historical accuracy of architecture, etiquette, fashion, and armor is pretty great. The only thing I have issue with there is the natto. Ain't no way he finishes that [emoji3046]
