  1. got a nice 5 minute shower in 78728
  2. technically no they're different animals, but "ground buffalo" in the stores here is actually ground bison. i don't like it, it tastes like 97/3 beef which is too lean for me. i like the 80/20 and would rather eat 70/30 than 90/10. what i've been doing since covid is combining 80/20 with ground turkey at a 1:1 ratio and the texture the turkey adds makes it so velvety.
  3. it's done? i'll take this summer every year.
  4. this just brought back a memory i haven't thought of in a while. i was a sophomore living in jester east when 9/11 happened. a few weeks passed and life went more or less back to normal. our IM football team was practicing one saturday on the IM field closest to the shack with a smattering of other groups around the complex. we gradually noticed a growing group of people speed walking toward the shack where we were which is weird because the parking lot's in the other direction. we looked over to where they were coming from and at the parking lot gate there were a handful of figures dressed in middle eastern robes and scarves. we never found out who they were (prob a student group), we got outta there with everyone else.
  5. you're 3 hours late.
  6. what's an FR coverall and will that add relevant context to 96 x 90 x 48 leg openings
  7. Does legislation matter if the little s state refuses to legislate?
  8. i feel your pain. i called her out on the ironing thing once. it didn't go well for me. now i fight a more passive aggressive battle. she folds the still wrinkled shirts and hides them in the middle of the pile for me to put away. i take them back out and hang them by the ironing board. they basically stay there until i need to wear it and then i iron it. right now i have one shirt i wore to cancun hanging there, waiting for an iron. i'm being stubborn about this one. we last went to cancun in july 2022.
  9. unfortunately that's what my wife said.
  10. i love everything about linen except the laundering. if you're unbuttoned doesn't your front side get sunburned?
  11. NYC : SF :: broken windows : needles
  12. chesa boudin was a disaster. unfairly or not, gavin, kamala, and even george gascon are all going to be lumped in with him as what's wrong with progressive criminal reform.
  13. the arabs might be on to something with the protecting the skin thing. soccer practice this monday and wednesday 5:30 to 8 and yesterday had a softball game at 6:30 and was none the worse for the wear. cowboys cap, LS fishing shirt, shorts. keep the sun off the skin, stay hydrated, and it's not so bad.
  14. the issue isn't that $950 is a misdemeanor, it's that the DA office in your wealthiest city de facto ignores anything under that threshold.
  15. my sister had chickens in high school and we'd get fresh eggs daily, never had a problem peeling them (soft boiled).
  16. make sure you wear them with ankle socks. i love the look but my feet get so sweaty in them. i've got the western and i love it. it wears warmer (heavier material, different ventilation etc) than a fishing shirt so it's not my preference for outdoor wear in the 90s but it's one of my favorite shirts in my closet.
  17. Costco's official policy is any card-holding member can bring 2 guests over the age of 18 with them. They don't restrict the number of minors with a card carrying member. I heard a Costco rep on BBC or ITV estimating 30% of people at peak traffic times fall outside of this policy.
  18. that's coming to every costco. can't wait for it to hit the austin stores, they're so packed.
  19. we just got back from scotland this friday. we've got 4 kids so we rented a 9 person sprinter also. drove from london down to portsmouth and flew out of edinburgh. the motorways were easy, but there were some B roads and one-lane village roads with pullouts every 100 yards that were kinda crazy. it wasn't my first time driving in the UK so i knew what i was in for, i can't imagine how someone does that for the first time. we stayed on the royal mile for a week and had to figure out parking for our sprinter during fringe/tattoo. the best spot is a secret travelodge parking lot that charges 24 pounds per 24 hours on cowgate near st mary's. anyone can park there, though hotel guests get a slightly discounted rate. if you're going to try to park on the roads, it's 8 pounds per hour with a 4 hour max. between the hours of 6p and 8:30a it's free with no max hour stay if you're in a marked spot. you can park on the street on a single yellow line after 6p (i think?) until 7a for free with no max.
  20. Inclusive of what, the pkg you listed above? StubHub has 27 tix in section 40 starting at $463, 25 of which are < $750.
  21. what's the standard for a noticeable front, 10 degrees off the highs?
