  1. boston played good 1v1 defense and didn't double unless it was in the paint and the ballhandler had picked up his dribble. our only offensive gameplan was get out and run. when that wasn't available we defaulted to hero ball. on nights like this i wonder if luka appreciates rick carlisle a little bit more.
  2. Sometimes you just gotta be like Elsa.
  3. this needs to be plastered on every billboard in austin.
  4. interestingly enough, DA Jose Garza has been outspoken AGAINST AA's hiring. From Friday... It's confusing because 1.) the guy who hired AA, Interim City Manager Jesus Garza, shares the same last name and 2.) we've been conditioned to spit on DA Jose Garza's name.
  5. it's accurate. you can tell the translation was done by someone fluent in both mandarin and english.
  6. $271,000. That's more than twice what he was making as the chief of police last time he was here.
  7. coincidentally we'll be in manchester, annan, and edinburgh for family stuff the last week and a half of july and first week of august. will definitely be checking out the fringe festival.
  8. on the other hand covid also taught people that *not everything* can be made or replicated at home. since reopening those items and experiences have been able to raise prices and not suffer.
  9. enjoy it? no. but for me there's a big difference between eating food 2 minutes off the grill vs 10+ minutes off the grill and steaming inside a styrofoam container. unfortunately (fortunately?) the rest of the family doesn't care so we do order take out a lot more than we used to.
  10. Your conclusion that it's not insider trading is correct but your reasoning is incomplete. The corporate outsider standard for insider trading consists of two parts. You referenced one of them. The other is whether the source of information constitutes a breach of fiduciary duty. Both have to be satisfied. Just FYI.
  11. Warriors AC Dejan Milojevich had a heart attack last night and the has NBA postponed tonight's GS/Utah game.
  12. i would be ecstatic if we were eventually streamable on prime.
  13. This was from a long time ago and was a joke. Ian eagle's busting mike fratello's chops.
  14. i'm very critical of kidd and don't think he's a good coach especially for a young team that needs leadership. what he did last night though was smart. we were having trouble getting defensive rebounds. nance and jonas v were manhandling us. the refs were blowing whistles on every contact (on both teams) and with zion probably taking it strong to the rim there's a decent chance he was going to get an and 1. and even if he missed we'd been giving up offensive rebounds to the pels. so let's just foul him before he gets going and take it from there. well done.
  15. costco was selling maples for $2080 last week. if you used their credit card and got the 4% discount you're paying under spot for it. i got distracted and didn't remember until it was too late and they were sold out.
  16. can you line that area with a bunch of incandescent christmas lights?
  17. Your front door swung out?
  18. Along with the other reasons listed, it's not just a flip of the switch to transition to online. Teachers have to upload work and teaching materials to whatever website the school district is using, students have to be told how to log on from their Chromebooks, some students don't carry them home everyday, some students don't have high speed wifi... It's a logistical mess that's not worth it for a day or even a few days.
  19. If you're using mm to represent million you'd be insane to keep it.
  20. Does your wife work for a magic 8 ball?
  21. You never said your kids were asian
  22. A coach needs to improve his team to more than the sum of its parts otherwise what's the point of having a coach. Jason Kidd does not do that and he clearly does not strive to do that. He seeks to be the team's emotional ballast but this young group needs much more than that.
