  1. If Belichick's girlfriend had taste and discernment she wouldn't be Belichick's girlfriend.
  2. Too bad Tennessee lost. We could have played against Jake Smith and Bru McCoy in the same postseason.
  3. That's what I thought. The shadows on the field were exactly the same direction as the pass.
  4. Northern Illinois, Vandy, Kentucky, and Oklahoma all have top 25 wins, but there is no clamor for them to get on.
  5. I'd like to hear Yormark answer the question why the 2 Big 12 CCG teams are determined by their conference W/L record rather than overall SOS.
  6. This logic always cracks me up. A few years ago I used to post on Texags on rare occasions. There was a thread once about the fact that the Texas/OU game was almost always two ranked teams, while the Texas/aggy game seldom was. The overwhelming majority believed the date of the games was the reason for that. Earlier in the season teams had fewer losses and it was easier to be ranked. I responded with basic logic - that the number of ranked teams stayed exactly the same every week and therefore it was statistically no more difficult to be ranked in Week 13 than week 1. I was negged to Bolivia and temporarily banned. They never could get their heads around the fact that the primary reason was that OU was usually good and aggy usually wasn't.
  7. Sort of like a band, except without the music.
  8. Nobody knows. It was a private conversation.
  9. Tyler, Garrett, Cory, Coby, and Cody? Perfect indeed.
  10. Yes. Higher seeds in first round get a home game. But how is it decided whether that's Friday night or one of the Saturday slots?
  11. At the risk of incurring the boundless wrath of fellow surlers and suffering an onslaught of their verbal slings and arrows if this has already been answered, I have a question. Is there an established method for determining the time slot of the first round games or the site assignments for the later rounds? E.g. do the higher seeded teams get to choose? Or is it all decided by the TV powers?
  12. This was the original question. The answer is that the application for SECCG was sent and the deadline for requesting tickets had passed.
  13. I think what the writer describes as "game control" is the ESPN creation that they use in their own calculation of relative team strength. That is not the same thing that the CFP committee uses which, as far as I know, has no clear definition. However they look at it, that metric has to be a big plus for Texas. Other than the UGA game Texas has only trailed against OU (3-0) for about 2 minutes and Vandy (7-0) for about 5 minutes. I am almost positive we have never been behind after the 1st quarter outside of UGA.
