  1. This is dumb, even for aggy. Beating OU should only be half a win.
  2. Were they numbered uno, dos, tres, catorce?
  3. I guess I should have included a graphic.
  4. Was that the one that ended up in Alabama?
  5. No, create a 3-way tie. Tech was undefeated at that time. Texas had one loss (Tech) and OU had one loss (Texas). If Tech had won, they would have been the South champs at 12-0 (8-0 conference) and OU would have been 10-2 (6-2). We needed OU to win so that there would be a 3-way tie. The tiebreaker formula came down to the 5th step : highest ranking in the BCS poll. OU was second at .9351 and Texas was third at .9223. As others have said, a few votes in the coaches' poll ranked Texas unfairly low, and that was enough to make the difference.
  6. Parker Livingstone disagrees.
  7. While I generally share the sentiment about OU, the fact remains that the ONLY chance we had was for Tech to lose. Period. I wanted Texas to win the MNC and I was astute enough to realize OU had to beat Tech for that to happen. I sure didn't want Tech to look like West Texas roadkill and for OU to win in a blowout, which is what happened. Even then, the final BCS result was microscopically thin. I rooted for the only outcome which could help Texas, a Tech loss. I didn't feel like an idiot then nor do I feel like one now.
  8. Tech was undefeated and would have been the South Division champs if they beat OU leaving us on the outside looking in. We needed Tech to win to force the three way tie. One of the only times in my life I rooted for OU.
  9. I'm suddenly feeling better about the midterms.
  10. That is the exact score the usher in our section predicted when I passed by him before the game. Was that you?
  11. That game is where Arch's running and scrambling ability will be crucial.
  12. Well, then we know the Dotard didn't write it.
  13. Well, to be fair, he did say it was written by some deranged bastard.
  14. Can't find a 2025 game day thread, so bumping 2024. Any thoughts, complaints, compliments for the SJSU game? A bit weird because of the 11:00 a.m. start and the unusual weather - which also made tailgating sub-optimal. It seemed like there was a bit less of the extraneous commercial crap, and the Jumbotron sound was almost at levels fit for humans. Liked the addition of Django Walker's "Texas Longhorn" song during the game rather than after it, when the crowd is filing out. Flyover was very cool. Overall, I thought the atmosphere was great for a early season morning game against a weaker opponent. Question for the seasoned vets: Is there a place inside DKR that sells craft beer, Shiner, Yeungling, Ziegenbach, etc.? I could only find places with the normal boring assortment, including several light beer options.
  15. Then what is Mason Shipley?
  16. Absolutely. You also don't give Philly a chance to set up their defense.
  17. Playing in the Pinstripe Bowl?
  18. Sorry, I got distracted by the Colt 2006/ Arch 2025 v. OSU discussion.
  19. For purposes of historical accuracy, Colt was not a true freshman.
  20. Game 1 QB stats; 19 completions, 32 attempts, 154 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT. 7 points. Game 2 QB stats: 17 completions, 30 attempts, 170 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT. 7 points. 1. Colt Mccoy v. OSU 2006. 2. Arch yesterday. Colt turned out ok.
  21. Not if you're flying out of DFW.
  22. Pretty objective position breakdown for the two teams from 11 Warriors. Slight overall edge to Texas, with the equalizer being home field. https://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-state-football/2025/08/157518/comparing-ohio-state-vs-texas-at-every-position-group-entering-the-2025-season-opener?amp
