  1. Is there an NIT Tournament for baseball?
  2. Watched part of the 2009 Fiesta Bowl (Texas v. tOSU) this morning on LHN. For those with memory problems, Texas was 11-1, with a 45-35 win over OU and a last-second loss at Tech, and was left out of the BCS Championship game because of the horrible tie-breaker rule in place. Texas missed out on a possible championship by 0.013 points in the BCS poll, despite a 10-point win over OU on a neutral field, and despite beating both of the Big 12 CCG teams. If any team ever had a reason to feel screwed and disappointed, it was that 2008 Texas team. But the game was great and Texas won on a late TD pass McCoy to Cosby. The announcers never said one word about "hangover", "didn't want to be there", "not ready to play", or any of the million other excuses made for Georgia. UGA and the SEC apologists can go screw themselves.
  3. More likely dotus was frustrated by the fact that most of his officials were getting indicted.
  4. "Scott Peters . . . Tip of the Spear" Huh?
  5. Sort of like a "menstral" show?
  6. No one has to cheat to get into aggy.
  7. We have all been spoiled by Craig Weigh. His overall quality, knowledge of what he is seeing, ability to communicate it without excess verbiage, showing honest enthusiasm at the appropriate times, and doing so from a Texas-centric viewpoint while avoiding homerism, is very unusual.
  8. Genius. I'm glad someone else saw this and had the skills to create the graphic. The resemblances are uncanny. BTW, I did a Google search for Jim Earle, whose name appears on the Hitler character, to see if maybe it was a self-portrait. Turns out the he was a bit of a legend, and just recently died. http://obituaries.jacksonvilleprogress.com/obituary/dr-james-apos-jim-apos-earle-1072601549 Seems like a pretty cool guy, with a bit of self-awareness. He wrote a cartoon strip for the Battalion with characters named Cadet Slouch, Simp. Cedric, Squirt, and Fish Jethro. Here's some of his other work.
  9. The letter to his successor will be a national treasure.
  10. 31% of Americans believe that the Holocaust did not occur or that the number of Jews killed is exaggerated. 38% of Americans believe that God created the earth and humans in their present form less than 10,000 years ago. 26% of Americans believe the sun orbits around the earth. 39% of Americans deny climate change or human causes. 41% of Americans believe that humans and dinosaurs lived at the same time. I submit that there is a considerable overlap in these groups.
  11. Jimbo came through on his promise of a top two class. Aggy just didn't understand he meant the state of Texas.
  12. Yeah, but we didn't really want to be there.
  13. Love the simple "State." Reminds me of Chip Hilton.
  14. Sometimes it's a fine line between sleeping and being in a permanent vegetative state.
  15. Nope, purple jerseys and white pants at home; white jerseys and purple pants on the road.
  16. An apostrophe denotes that something is missing or has been left out. With aggy, something is always missing and has been left out.
