  1. Yes. Trump wins this round of running out the clock. Given the gravity of the situation, canceling the August recess would seem to be the right thing to do. But Nancy has to get to her summer reading list.
  2. This is about the best the Ds can hope for. Aunt Nancy has squandered at least one opportunity to start impeachment, maybe more. This will probably be one of the last jumping off points where the public can be brought along as to why impeachment was started. At least some of the public will understand why you're starting the process if it's fresh on their minds.
  3. We're going to learn a lot from R questions about Peter Strzok and his lover and Mueller's best friend, Comey.
  4. Don't forget Across State Lines and Competition as major selling points of the nonexistent R healthcare plan. I mean, name one major policy of the Rs in the last 30 years that was intended to serve average Americans that was actually implemented. It's not easy.
  5. They come within a hair of repealing it with no plan to replace it. Now, they continue trying to kick the legs out from under ACA -- again with no plan to replace it.
  6. I always think back to Rush bitching about Ted Kennedy getting the best of W when there was collaboration on the education bill. He never let that go. You can't trust the Ds. I think a lot of R voters are nostalgic about a R party that never existed, or existed a long time ago, or existed in the 60s as the D party.
  7. Family Case Management System (Obama) was very successful with very good rates of appearance at court dates. Cheeto shut it down b/c Obama. Suck it libs.
  8. Lynch and negro are both in the dictionary. Checkmate, libs. - Diamond and Silk
  9. Ron Johnson was trying to spin it this morning. "Why is everything viewed within a racist framework?!1"
  10. RomaVicta summed it up nicely
  11. ^Definitely a big part of smearing the nominee, Outright lies and inflammatory language. Par for the course for Rs.
  12. An impeachment by the House (even without Senate conviction) carries some weight and holds him accountable imo. It's all they've got.
  13. If only there were a mechanism by which the House could hold DOTUS accountable.
  14. There are so many. Just pick one. - Rs
  15. I mean, she broke the law for 40 years. Should be easy to prove.
  16. Same with alarm clocks and commercials massacring songs from my youth.
  17. We've hit on this in one of these threads, but the false dichotomy of R vs. D ideas is so counterproductive. The idea that you can only choose one is unfortunately the political reality of a lot of legislation that tries to move itself through Congress these days. Instead of ignoring big problems, it would be so encouraging to see Congress sit down and hammer out compromises that reflect the melting pot of ideologies that send them to DC. For some legistlation, maybe the 'libs' in CA get some of the things they want, and the 'conservatives' in AL get some of the things they want. In the end, citizens' lives are helped or made better by their work. Our big problems are not unsolvable.
  18. On the brink of war with Iran. We've alienated most of our allies. We've cozied up to Russia and ignored election meddling. We pack immigrants into room/cages beyond their capacity and refuse to provide them with necessities. Rs are doing their dead-level best to torpedo ACA. The President is attacking individual members of Congress and lying about statements they have purportedly made for the purpose of roiling citizens against these women. For what WH/R policies should the 'libs' in the CR be patting the WH/Rs on the back?
