  1. Heart did a good version, especially considering this was live.
  2. And posted above was this one by Jesse Winchester. I LOVE this live version....and watching Neko and how it hits her. The combo of the chords, melody and his voice just adds so much to the depth and feeling of this one.
  3. Song starts at :55. I've said before that you make an old farrier like Mr. Seymour cry, you have written the saddest song, EVER.
  4. @austingirl background on the guitar and the radio below it.
  5. Baboso and I took our bitches to the beach last week. We also brought the hounds. Should have left the bitches at home. Dogs were much less of a hassle House had an elevator. Dogs quickly learned to walk past the stairs and stand in front of the magic closet that got you to the 4th floor. Here they are waiting for me to push the button.
  6. 'Cept George didn't writte that one. 😉 Curly Putnam and Bobby Braddock did. George actually kept changing the tune to "Help Me Make It Through The Night". They finally convinced him to sing it the way Braddock told him. After he finished the recording he said, George said, "No one is going to buy that morbid sumbitch"
  7. Vince has added a new verse to this. Got to see him do it at the Ryman in 2019. After that, he said it was the first time he had ever gotten thru it.
  8. As the father of 2 daughters: It’s alright to be gentle, And it’s alright to be kind, It’s alright to be brave and scared Cause it’s alright to be gentleAnd it’s alright to be kindAnd it’s alright to be angryIt’s alright to change your mindAnd it’s alright to be fierceAnd it’s alright to fightAnd it’s alright to be happyIt’s alright to cry when you need to cry
  9. and if my fucking wife doesn't quite putting shit on top of my turntable.....grrrrrrrrrrr
  10. Digging the new record. A couple of actual, upbeat tunes....Grissom and Sexton are all over it and Harmoni Kelley provides some background vocals.
  11. Outstanding news @Bash Riprock I went to a 'beginners' meeting last night. I fucking LOVE going to this one. A local treatment center sends people to this meeting to get them experience in outside meetings. Probably 45 people there..most had less than 6 months. At this meeting, only people with less than 6 months share at first...then they bump it up to a year...but the 6 month crowd filled up the time last night. One dude says, "My last drink was 33 minutes ago. I drank on the way over here." Two people fresh out of jail. One was a 45ish year old, really, really hot chick. She had just gotten busted on a probation violation and spent 15 days in the hoosegow. I don't ever need to forget those feelings.
  12. I was thinking the same thing.
  13. Holy fucking moly...I want one of these beauties.
  14. I got confused until I found this picture to see what you meant about the ashtray and the P90 bridge route. I can't wait for our new guitar to be built! Every time I go to Warmoth, I get overwhelmed by all of the options. http://gretschpages.com/media/img/fretboard/2015/6/111212-Tele P90-0808.jpg.540x540_q85_autocrop.jpg
  15. Sending peaceful thoughts @Bash Riprock. Glad you made it back. I wish more places had a strong, working alumni association. The treatment center I went to in Nashville has a strong alumni association. But my IOP in Atlanta makes you pay extra. I don't mind the money....it was less than my copay for my therapist but they make you do weekly drug testing at a 3rd party. And again, not the the cost...it is just the extra hurdle and hassle they make you jump through. They say it is to show responsibility, but it seems counter productive to me. I do 2-3 Zoom alumni 'after care' sessions a week with the Nashville bunch. Serves a great purpose, especially with me being so far away. Bass player in my band is in the hospital with Covid. He and his wife initially got it in March, 2020 from a Chinese exchange student. He procrastinated getting a vaccine and thought he was safe, having had it before. His wife just spend a week in the hospital and he went in the day she got out.
  16. I'm not just saying this. Paul's "When I Let Go" is a great record.
  17. Some people aren't as sweet, nice and innocent as they appear.
  18. She did a great job of this Pat Alger song, "Long Star State of Mind" And another Pat Alger song. "Once In A Very Blue Moon". What a band....Mark O'Connor, Roy Husky, Jr.,
  19. Was just listening to "When I Let Go" while on vacation. I'm excited for this one!

  21. Berry was also involved in Greek life at the college and was given an award for being a “perfect role model,” and for leading the “fight to dismantle fraternity stereotypes,” a Zoom video posted by Ohio Wesleyan shows. https://heavy.com/news/maxwell-berry-frontier/ uhmmmmm
  22. Ha. Those are Onschutz .22s. I was on a rifle team for 2 years in Canyon and we used them, as did most of the teams, but we only had one of the high dollar models, like those. Even in the early 80s, they were very futuristic looking and just fuckin' fun to shoot. Our best shooter used that one. One time, we shot against the Air Force at a meet in El Paso. All chicks...and they had MUCH newer models of the Onschutz.....and they whipped our asses. Every team we ever shot against...the best shooters were chicks and an Air Force team of all chicks it wasn't even close.
  23. Cool thing about the biathlon is they have their hear rate ski high, then have to calm it down in order to shoot. Plus, Dor0thea Wierer.
