  1. Yep. When I moved from beer to vodka as my drink at the bar during day drinking sessions, I really started spiraling down hill. I never had an anger problem until then. I still never started anything, but the slightest little thing would set me off.
  2. Some big names...then to an in Sierra Hull. She is a certified doll and player.
  3. That, and no weed grower can get a loan from a bank to fund their operations. Even the legitimate businesses in the legal states can't do business with banks. No loans, operation funding, even credit cards for the business. Even depositor accounts are iffy in those states.
  4. "Water In The Fuel" is such a fantastic song. Kasey Chambers does an incredible version of it.
  5. Damn. Damn. Damn. Keb Mo doing Loving Arms on Jimmie Rogers guitar.
  6. "Without A Leg To Stand On" is such a great fucking song.
  7. There was a dude in my rehab who was on his 17th rehab. He told me, "I do great in here but when I leave, it is like leaving a dark night and walking into a Las Vegas casino. I just can't deal with life outside of rehab."
  8. No doubt. Two of the people that helped me the most were a couple of drinking buddies that I worked with and have known both of the for YEARS. One problem though was, we would go have drinks with lunch, they would go back to work and I would relocate to a different watering hole. Plus, I had already had a couple of shots before lunch as well. Then, when Drunk Gay Adam from one of the bars tells me about 3am one morning, "We are really worried about you." Not I, but WE. As in the other drunks in the bar. This, coming from a guy in his mid 30s that doesn't even have his own apartment. Still couch surfing. But still, I honestly didn't care if I lived or died at that moment. I had already made reservations to go to rehab at that point...but when I was walking out of jail that next day.....
  9. Thanks for that link @jimmyjazz I know what I'm watching tonight. Dan Tyminski and Jerry Douglas are two of my musical heros. May have mentioned this but a couple of friends used to cut demos and they played some with Jerry. They went on and on about what a super nice person he was and how easy he was to work with. This was just after he played on that early T-Bone Burnett record and has just started playing with Alison Krauss.
  10. @Celery Man That is actually why I got it. Wanted to carry it enough to make it look that way.....the thing is just so big and heavy. I used to carry it when I was flying a lot for work. I need to put it back in to commission in some form or fashion.
  11. Doctors' warnings, jail, family leaving me, losing a job, friends and family talking to me, my thoughts of driving into a bridge abutment, numerous car 'mishaps', ....none was enough to make me want to quit. It wasn't until I went to rehab, got my head clear and feet underneath me and I learned why I was drinking, that I wanted to quit. That I even COULD quit.
  12. Which blows my mind about the Carolina's. With all of the infrastructure already in place from the tobacco industry, you would think they would be all over this.
  13. Macey Krpec has quite a history indeed. She does use the game plan of 'make your mugshot photo not look like a mugshot photo' Also, from her LinkedIn. About As of June 2018, I started a business in which I help clients sell their high end art, furniture, jewelry, designer handbags, clothing, luxury items, motorized vehicles, cars, Can Ams, Polaris, jet skis, boats, etc... I also help clients with Estate Sales and plan their social and/or business events.
  14. It has worked well in Portugal. Homeless, ODs, crime rates, all down. As long as the government does as promised (pfft) and funnels that money into treatment, hopefully it will work. What we do now is bullshit and isn't working. Almost everyone in jail is there, in part, to drugs. Once they go in, the cycle continues and just gets worse.
  15. Man @CHIEF Don't repaint that. What a beautiful guitar.
  16. I never cared for that song on the studio recording...but it kicks all types of ass at their live shows. Now, when it comes on....I crank it. Still not as much as on Kansas City Southern. That guitar tone....mamma.
  17. I bought one years ago. Was walking through an airport one day and someone stopped me and asked me if there was a clarinet in there. The thing is heavy AF and I don't carry it much anymore. I need to move all of my song writing stuff to it, just to keep it in one place. My wife has it sitting on a table because she likes the way it looks. She doesn't feel that way about all of the other guitar cases lying around in my guitar room/her holiday decoration staging area.
  18. GREAT choice. ANYTHING that Warner Hodges plays guitar on. A few years ago, Warner was on guitar with Drivin'-n-Cryin. I went with a buddy and his wife. I told them...you guys can stand wherever you want but I'll be over her, in front of the stage on the left. His wife asked why. My buddy said, "Cause that's where Jesus stands."
  19. 34? years old. Never had a real job. Doesn't have custody of her daughter. So many events of blatant lying it is hard to keep up. And every time I see her picture, I swear I can smell cat shit and sardines, with notes of ammonia and stale, moldy, magazine perfume samples.
  20. Ha. Double Plexy in fact. DP, if you will.
  21. Anyone spent any time with these Epi Les Paul SL? Those looks like fun. https://www.premierguitar.com/articles/29099-will-rays-bottom-feeder-epiphone-les-paul-sl
  22. Thanks JJazz and Paul and everyone else. Great info.
