  1. definitely more like a Marino, Rodgers, Romo motion keeping the ball low and using the body to rotate to generate all the force instead of Peyton's / Eli's over the top throwing motion. nice compact, quick release and motion. footwork looks great in the pocket, a bit off on the rollouts.
  2. and the Brazil variante enters the chat. We will keep doing what we are doing: stay at home unless its an essential need, when we go out, wear a mask, wash our hands, and socially distance the fuck out of anyone else that comes near. this order will kill more Texans, force more businesses out of businesses for good, and generally delay for months the full actual recovery and opening of Texas. As soon as I am vaccinated, I will resume normal life but with a mask out of respect for my neighbors and fellow Texans. But that respect expires at the end of June. If you have chosen not to get vaccinated by that point, then whatever happens to you is on you.* *all of the above is subject to Covid variants such as the Brazil one that looks to be a real motherfucker.
  3. I want the best QB to win the job. I dont care if its Casey or Card. I want Texas to win and win big. To respond to the earlier post, the hesitancy most have re Casey is what we saw in the bowl game against Colorado was unlike anything we had seen prior thereto. He had not looked like that in practice or scrimmages, games where he got in at the end, spring games, etc. So we have 1 half, closer to 1 quarter, where he looked phenomenal. I dont think being cautious about Casey being able to do that in every game moving forward is wrong or stupid or mis-informed when it goes against everything prior to it. But if you listen to Sam, to the prior coaches, and the practice reports, its been Card that has been lighting it up and showing the real talent and skill in the QB room, not Casey. Now I will be first to say that Casey looked a million times better than Card did in the Colorado game. I hope he can do it again. I hope he lights it up in every game next year just like Colorado. But if he doesnt, then I hope Card does. In the end, I just want Texas to go undefeated, kick the shit out of OU and TCU, win the Big12, goto the CFB playoffs, kick the shit out of tOSU and Alabama and win the National Championship game. I have small but reasonable expectations and requests.
  4. Huh. No. VY is the greatest college football player of all time.
  5. So the question is do we want Hudson? over thompson, coleman? how does he fit in and how many are we looking to take?
  6. My daughter, Environmental Science and Dean Scholar, was in FRI. She LOVED it. I think you have to apply to FRI. I think I remember there was a website that spelled most of it out. Let me know if you have any specific questions (DM me if you feel more comfortable) and I can ask my girl.
  7. Putting off attic insulation in a custom home until sometime in the future not looking like such a great idea at the moment.... Good news is plumbing lines are all insulated in the walls and attic so team no drip and no cover. All faucets working at full strength.
  8. we set ours to 68 during the day and then down to 58 at night. Inside temps never get below 61 or 62 so the heater is off for 8 hours.
  9. Fuck all the noise. Kid is a lifelong Longhorn fan. He is from Texas. He lives in Texas. Texas now has a HC and QB coach that can develop him and put him in the NFL. There is a proven track record. We have Winfield, We have Blue. We are going to get Stewart, Thompson, and whoever else the fuck we want. If Ewers doesnt come to Texas with this staff, this class, and the way he fits in Sark's offense so much better, then he was never ever coming to Texas. It is the perfect situation for him. The staff knows it, Ohio Fuck off State knows it, Ewers parents know it. and yeah, Quinn knows it. Come home son. Texas forever.
  10. congrats to you and your boy. our oldest graduated from the CS program in May '20 with a job offer as a software engineer at Amazon in Seattle. it is a great program and its grads are highly thought of and sought after.
  11. idk but jazz hands are the best.
  12. i think they slash, cut, and accelerate similarly. are yall saying Blue isnt on the same level as Bijan in HS? i has confused.
  13. his running style looks similar to me. he is a similar size. similar speed. Bijan had ridiculous highlights playing in AZ but if you put him in TXHSFB, i think Bijan and Blue would look similar. you disagree?
  14. whoa, i like this Hoover kid. Ewers is my favorite. Just watched Murphy, man he is a project. Not sure about that one.
  15. i dare say his highlights remind me of Bijan.
  16. When I think of Jake and Jordan, I think of how much I would have liked seeing them on the field at the same time with Eagles, Joshua, and Bijan...
  17. I coached against Sam and Klubnik in 7s for years. I don't think anyone over here (LT) believes Klubnik is the same level prospect as Sam was. I think Klubnik is a safe pick, as he has a high floor. He is a safe QB, good athlete, good arm, and makes good decisions. If you are looking for a game manager, he certainly fits that bill. I dont think you can go wrong with taking him as a QB but I dont think the potential payoff is anywhere near what Ewers brings.
  18. I am a gun owner. I am a liberal. I will support and vote for Beto.
