  1. working on that one next. the other three applied and made it to the first round or so of consideration. but then YOU rejected them... HAHA. fortunately, they earned other scholarships from more considerate and thoughtful programs. 🙂
  2. My son submitted his application to Texas. He is applying to College of Engineering (EE), Engineering Honors, Plan II, etc... He will be auto-admitted into Texas. Hopefully, he joins his two older brothers in Plan II. If he gets into EE and Plan II, he will go to Texas. If not, we will wait to hear back from MIT, Harvard, Cal, UCLA, and Stanford. This one bleeds burnt orange so it will be pretty surprising if he doesnt go to Texas. Anyone else have a kid applying now?
  3. Voted in Bee Cave. 37 minutes from start to finish. Line was waaaaaaaaay longer than I have ever seen before.
  4. Voted in Bee Cave. 37 minutes from start to finish. Line was waaaaaaaaay longer than I have ever seen before. GOOD LORD THAT FELT GOOD!!!!!!! Let's Go Joe!
  5. the whine of Ed's guitar in Jamie's Cryin is just different than anything ever. hard to beat that sound that he had, the feel, the rhythm. and then the insane start to Atomic Punk....
  6. Shane is Case Keenum Sam is Dak Prescott.
  7. My favorite rock musician of all time. VH was my first concert in 1984. I saw them again when they came back with Sammy on the Monsters of Rock tour. And then again, and again, and again and again.. And then I took my oldest two sons to see them in 2012. Fuck...
  8. wait are people actually thinking that pro-lifers are going to have a nuanced conversation about DEAD BABIES?
  9. our entire Joint Chiefs of Staff are in quarantine. how is our government not checking Trump at this point? he is, again, a national security risk. he could literally kill the entire federal government.
  10. The only way Trump wins is through cheating and suppression. In a completely fair and free election, Biden wins by 10+. With the cheating, Biden will still win by 8 and thats a mudholing in today's climate. I have Biden winning 338 to Trump's 200.
  11. while i have no doubt the polls will tighten, the big lead at this point will probably cause Trump's campaign to panic and to fire both barrels of whatever "October surprise" they are holding out hope will work earlier than they originally planned.
  12. he will not go back to the hospital if he is breathing or consciously able to make any decisions. the only way he goes back is on a stretcher, on oxygen, while he fades in and out of consciousness.
  13. Come on Trump! Stop being a pussy and get back out there and campaign! Don't be like Joe and hide in your basement! Get out there with a really busy campaign schedule - looooong days with 2 hour rallies! Your fans miss you!!!! We need you!!!!! Come on now! Don't be afraid of the Covid! Its harmless. You beat it already and are now immune to it! So get back out there and go 24/7!!!!!
  14. thats just a Friday for the Republicans these days...

  19. what a wonderful surprise. this is a truly great series. i have no idea how it works but it just does. the cast, the writing, the execution are all brilliant. funny, heart warming and breaking at the same time. just a wonderful series. if you havent started it, do it. its worth your time.

  22. I still love Austin. I loved Austin in the 90s when I went to UT and I have loved Austin every bit as much since we moved back in 05. Its my favorite city in the world. I love all the great places to get food, listen to live music, all the outside stuff, water (lakes, rivers, springs, pools) to cool off in, but most of all, i just love the vibe of Austin. Its such a unique place and has such a great feel to it. If you ever get nostalgic, just drive up Lamar from down south or Burnet up north, still lots of grimy old Austin. Funny thing I dont think I have ever eaten at a chain restaurant in Austin, other than those that originated in Austin (Chuy's). Moved back to Austin to raise our kids. Yes, we are in Bee Cave so out on the border of Austin and the Hill Country. Love the natural beauty all around. Love the space. Love the 20 minute drive into downtown and 30 minute drive to the airport. We have a cabin in northern california outside of Yosemite to get away from the heat during the summer or to see the snow in the winter. But thats the other thing I love about living in Austin - great airport and within 3.5 hours to either coast for trips to explore and see the rest of the country. we have family in Seattle. friends in Portland. Great places but yeah, I love Austin.
