  1. this made me laugh hard... wasnt expecting it.
  2. LT got beat up by Westlake. The Chaps simply wanted it more. LT did not match Westlake's intensity at all, as in not even close. It looked like Mack's Horns vs Stoops' Sooners. I was surprised to say the least. Westlake won 3 out of 5 of the games this week. Not a good look for LT. Card struggled no doubt about it. And while there were plenty of negatives directly attributable to Card (seemed rushed from the get go, overthrew several passes, made some bad reads, etc), the thing I liked was he never gave up and might have been the only player on the offensive side of the ball that fought whistle to whistle. Wilson hurt his back in practice two weeks ago. He has been largely a decoy the past two weeks. Westlake figured this out pretty early and covered Wilson in press man with no safety help. Wilson could not do anything with it given his back issue. The bye week is coming at a good time for Wilson and LT.
  3. i know he projects well to the next level based on his size and frame and athleticism but, those highlights are kinda meh.... he is not particularly quick off the ball nor is he all that strong at the point of attack. I know we want him badly but i am less impressed with his senior highlights than when i watched him last year.
  4. My taxes would be about the same in both, with California being a bit higher, but its negligible. And yet there are more that move into California to take their place. Again, Texas and California are both great places to visit and live, and they both could learn a lot from each other.
  5. agreed. those two are very similar prospects.
  6. Again, not an analysis of the article. And my statement was not solely based on your quote. Instead it was based on his back and forth with Gorsuch and other parts of the argument. It seems from Kav's questioning and statements, he wants to detain people no matter how remote or serious their crimes are. And the other Justices did a nice job pointing out how ridiculous that would be.
  7. HAHA! I didnt really provide an "analysis" of the article but whatever. I am fully aware that Justices don't always tip their hands during oral arguments. But I do believe the nature of Gorsuch's questions and Kavanaugh's questions/statements are indicative of their positions. Neither of us can be sure either way. It will be interesting to see how this one shakes out.
  8. i know, i know, surprising right? i dont know if he is the best QB right now, but i am confident he is the best athlete of the group.
  9. just giving you a hard time.
  10. uhhhh, i think Card is the best athlete of all of them. Kid is electric.
  11. my sister has lived in LA for 20 years and she is an artist, definitely not a one percenter. you dont have to be insanely rich to live there. my son was an intern for Amazon this past summer and rented a nice apartment in Newport Beach for about the same price you would find in Austin or Dallas.
  12. WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH AUSTIN? So you dont want to live in the Bay Area, Santa Barbara, San Diego, Orange County, and Austin fucking Texas? ok, your opinion on best places to live has been disqualified. you can go sit over there...
  13. exactly. everyone wants to live in the Bay Area, Santa Barbara, San Diego, Orange County. most just can't afford to. California is an amazing AMERICAN state. Have they gone overboard on a few things, sure. Has Texas gone the other way just as far? absolutely. Both to their detriment. If California and Texas could learn from each other, both would be better states.
  14. higher taxes like INSANE property taxes in Texas?
  15. after watching RJ's highlights and Card's highlights, Texas is about to be even more dangerous at QB moving forward. I can't wait to watch those two hold down the QB position after Sam and Rising.
  16. No, i was speaking generally not in specific reference to Catalon.
  17. this is an example of the staff betting on itself that it can take raw long fast athletes and develop them instead of a more finished, higher floor, lower ceiling player.
  18. They see Powell as similar to BJ Foster.
  19. i dont disagree with you. my point was that Texans are better in real life than they vote. i have been at a legal conference all week so im getting a little restless...
  20. you know thats not true. they just arent being honest about why they are voting republican be it closeted racism or putting saving taxes over Texas, whatever the reason. if more people would vote like they live their lives, we would be in a much better place. in real life, if you lie to someone's face, especially a Texan, they will call you out on it. but fuck no at the ballot box if there is money involved, or there is a chance to hold the brown man down or let's pretend like we care about saving babies by stating that abstinence is actually something that works. Most Texans would kick the shit out of Ted the Canadian Cruz if he tried to pull this bullshit to their faces.
  21. i am hoping for the opposite but im not overly optimistic.
