Tell Me About Texas a&m
Sure they should, but they aren't playing D2 teams. They're playing D1 teams. FCS and FBS are both D1 teams and it's stupid to suggest otherwise, jokingly or not.

Tell Me About Texas a&m
No it's not. DII is nowhere near the level of FCS. Making a claim like that makes this board look worse than the goons on txgags. Texas doesn't have to hide behind anything. Our standard is, and always should be higher. We aren't them and shouldn't lower ourselves to their level.

FYI FCS teams are still Division I and were previously referred to as DI-AA and FBS teams DI-A. Division II teams are an entirely different level. For the most part, the primary difference between FCS and FBS is the number of scholarships the schools give out and amount of money the schools commit to their football budgets.

2025 Texas High School Football
Raycom Sports still exists. It's owned by Gray Media and they broadcast college football, NBA and MLB games under various differently named networks across the country. They used to broadcast both SEC and ACC games as Jefferson Pilot Sports network before ESPN bought up 2nd & 3rd tier rights.

Brian Kelly to L$U
So, my question with regards to the “Duty to Mitigate” clause, is how far does that go? Does he have to keep looking for a coaching job, any coaching job, until he finds one? Is he forced to accept a coordinator job at a shitty place like Youngstown State or something like that, if that's all who's offering? How long is he required to make the effort? I mean, can they effectively force him to take a job that he deems beneath him and if he refuses, they accuse him of acting in bad faith? My guess is that ultimately both sides will come to some sort of settlement to avoid having to address those situations, but if they don't, then what?

Have you ever seen a ghost?
I don't know if this counts as seeing a ghost, but when I was very young, my grandmother on my mom's side passed away from cancer. She had lived on a farm in deep East Texas and was tough as nails. She had an old farmhouse that was a wood frame structure on a solid concrete foundation. It had two bedrooms and a large storage closet on one side, and the kitchen, a bathroom and living room on the other, with a big hallway that was eight to ten feet wide that ran the length of the house in the middle. All of the floors were covered with old linoleum that had lost much of its' adhesion over the years, so when you walked on it, it would move up and down under your feet and make that "sticky" noise. At the end of her life, she wasn't supposed to get out and work her farm anymore, but she hated sitting still for too long, so she would get up and pace the hallway over and over. After she passed, we inherited the farm and used it as a weekend and summer getaway for many years. We spent lots of family time there and for as long as that house stood usable, at night, all of the sudden we'd hear footsteps on the linoleum in the hallway when nobody was in there. Sometimes, if the lighting was just right, you could actually see the linoleum moving with the sounds. In my twenties I would bring friends to the farm to go hunting the first weekend of deer season, and they would all get totally creeped out by the house and footstep noises. Eventually they all refused to go there anymore because they would be up all night freaked out by the place. Even though it was kind of creepy, our family got used to it and wasn't phased by it, but every time we brought someone new to the farm, they would be totally freaked out and uncomfortable.

Negative Recruiting Your Own School: The aggy Screenshot Megathread
The thing that always gets me about the whole concept surrounding the dead dog scoreboard, is the idea that the dead dogs can see through the caskets and dirt to see it, but couldn't see through the stadium to see the main one. I know that I'm overthinking it, and that logic is the enemy of aggy, but I still can't wrap my head around how they conceptualize it.

LOL. No. I've been here since day one. I just don't post much because I don't enjoy engaging assholes and idiots. And a whole lot of that goes on here. And I say that lovingly. I honestly don't have any ill will for Z. He just posts a lot of not so well thought out opinions and ideas, and if he's gonna point it at me, I'm gonna give it back.

Except we played 2 last year you stupid goon. The Peach Bowl and the Cotton Bowl. We went 1-1. You continue to be one of those posters that talks more than they think. Sark's bowl record at Texas is 1-3. And he barely won the one. I don't want Herman back. I didn't even like him. He had no business being Head Coach at Texas. My point is that Sark is only a marginally better coach than he was.

I said Bowl Games, not post season games. There was far less opportunity to play more than 1 post season game a season when Herman was coach. Also, BTW, we also lost 2 post season games last year. We never lost a post season game under Herman. My statement stands up 100%.

Tom Herman Football V2.0. More hype, tons more talent, slightly better results. Except in bowl games. Herman was way better in bowl games.

2025 game Week 1, #1 Texas @ #3 Ohio State - What the Fuck is a Buckeye?
Homeowner's associations aren't allowed to ban TV antennas or satellite dishes. It violates federal laws and FCC regulations. They can tell you that you can't install them in a way that damages any common areas or neighbor's properties, but have to allow a reasonable solution so that you may receive over the air transmissions. Google FCC OTARD Rules.

TIL, today I learned....
TIL that if you put pecans that are still in their husks into a fire, the will explode and shoot several feet into the air and it kinda hurts when one of them hits you.

Getting old sucks
54 years old. Had my annual physical last week including the typical blood tests, except my doctor asked if I wanted to also try a new test for markers of Alzheimer's/dementia since I've had memory issues the past several years. About 8 to 10 years ago I had an MRI on my brain and it showed cerebral atrophy at an advanced level for my age back then, but my neurologist retired a couple of months later and things didn't seem to be getting any worse, so I didn't do pursue it any further. Anyway, a day or two after my physical, my doctor's nurse calls and says test results are normal-ish, but the typical "lose weight, eat better, exercise" routine they say every year. So I think, that's that, see you next year. Then Thursday night at 8:38, my doctor, not his nurse, calls to talk about the other test, which frankly, I had forgotten about. He goes on to explain that my results were a bit "outside of the normal range" and that he's going to find a new neurologist for me to start the process to understand how far along I am. So basically, as he explained it, at this point, it's not so much will I get it, but when will I develop it, if I haven't already. I have noticed that it's a lot more difficult to focus on stuff at work and keep my thoughts organized, but it hasn't been at an alarming rate. I just figured that it was because as I age, my give a shit has naturally decreased. I've been trying to process everything and I'm lost, frankly. I feel fine. Don't notice too much different honestly. But the idea that I don't know how much of a future I'll have, is messing with me. It's not like it's an aggressive cancer diagnosis, but it's still a horrible way to go out, and I certainly don't want to be a burden to anyone. I know that at this point, having not seen a specialist yet, I'm kinda putting the cart before the horse, but I keep thinking that life as I know it is about to be over. I'm not afraid of death, but I don't want a prolonged, drawn out demise that's miserable for everyone involved. That leads to some really dark and also ridiculous thoughts. I'm a planner. I plan everything out. But all of the sudden, that seems useless.

Texas Softball 2025 - Second to no one.
My Longhorn dad, class of 57, passed away on March 2nd. Today would've been his 93rd birthday. I'm gonna be selfish and say they won it for him. Great job bringing home the trophy ladies!

Tell Me About Texas a&m
Blinn is in Brenham, not Bryan/College Station. It's owned by the people of Washington County. They play their home games in Brenham ISD's stadium. The Blinn in Bryan is a satellite campus and only exists because Brazos County is too cheap to build their own community college. They had a private juco for a while, but that went bust. Blinn stepped in to fill the gap temporarily while Brazos County was supposed to develop their own, but they never did. Blinn was fine with it because they charge everyone on that campus "out of county" tuition and get more money from the state because they could count those students in enrollment. So in short, no, aggyland cannot count any of the Blinn NCs or Scam Newton as their own.
