  1. Sleep walking through this one. 12 more puts and a day off. Get em Wednesday.
  2. For a first place team we have more holes than a bachelors underwear.
  3. Blanco definitely needs to miss a turn or two
  4. https://thetvapp.to/event/kansas-city-royals-vs-houston-astros-e98c34858f1e419055d76ce69e83f45e/ Can watch on phone or tv in browser
  5. Heyward hitting .308 against lefties this year…
  6. Nobody saw that outfield coming. The book that will be written after the Astros win the World Series this year will be epic. Call it Smoke and Mirrors.
  7. lol I get it. But at the same time we have got to get younger and cheaper and better to keep window open. How long will Crane keep riding the salary threshold lines? We keep letting our assets walk away without using them to replenish. I’d like to keep Tucker Yordan and Yainer as a core and keep adding to that. Framber is our best asset to get a big return. We may have to trade Tucker too. But if we are going to spend 25-30 million on Framber, we could also trade him for a couple potential starters and still use that same money on another pitcher. Standing pat is backing up. Our outfield is a mess. I’d have no trouble trading Framber for a young outfielder, 1B and/or pitcher. Is anyone scared of facing headcase Framber in a playoff someday? You have to give to get. Anyway, it’s just spitballing crap. No matter how well we finish this year there are major moves needing to be made. But I’ll take another flag first.
  8. Framber should be traded this offseason for prospects and use whatever we were going to pay him to sign another pitcher. It’s the only way to use the same money and also get prospects to keep the window open. There is no reason this window should close while Yordan is still in his prime. A good GM can extend this another four years.
  9. Tucker is sprinting in the outfield! Running bases next!
  10. He should go down and consider it a rehab assignment for next 30 days. See what happens. Maybe he will see Tucker down there.
  11. Jason Hayward’s last at bat with the Dodgers was a pinch hit 3 run homer in bottom of the 8th to beat the Mariners. Hes already done more to help the Astros than Chas the last week.
  12. I remember when we were searching high and low for a left hand bat in the outfield. Now I think that’s all we have besides Meyers and Dubon. I’m assuming Chas is toast. I had a feeling they would look at Heyward. Stat line isn’t great this year but his exit velocity is up from last year and he doesn’t strike out much. He can pinch hit for Meyers in extras a move that damn runner over to third almost every damn time. This is what I’ve been saying about getting bench bats. Get guys like Gamel and Haywood that have been in the league 10 years and had some success. Cheap. Not world beaters. But they will give competitive at bats and get a couple hits. Put the damn ball in play. It’s not like Madris, Cabbage, Hummel, Bannon and all the the other 4A guys we’ve tried that have no skins and swallow their nuts against big league pitching. I think by the end of September Whitcomb and Dezenzo are gonna also make for some tough decisions for playoff roster assuming they keep progressing and Singleton, Chas etc keep sucking.
  13. Damn we needed that win. Cleveland got swept, Minn getting blasted.
  14. I played on pickup slow pitch softball teams with more stable lineups.
  15. So glad I had to miss yesterday’s game after Friday night. Sounds horrible.
  16. Well shit. Rangers doing us a solid against Cleveland too. Double whammy.
  17. I’ll take some of that next year but oh man that sucks
  18. I think the best free agent OFer not named Soto is probably Santander. May be someone I’m forgetting.
  19. Can we get Minute Maid condemned for the rest of the year?
