  1. I started writing a haiku and drinking Lonestar beer every game day in the playoffs. The haiku was on purpose but the Lonestar was just by chance but the results have been perfection. Since you don’t fuck with a winning streak it’s time for game 1 haiku and the Lonestar is on ice. I’m ready. Phillies first pitcher Pleads Nola-contendere Astros kick their ass
  2. Two words: freshman quarterback. Played literal handful of games and there are going to be some stinkers. We aren’t good enough to overcome a bad game from QB against a good opponent, especially if OL is contributing to the troubles. It is what it is. Sark can try to scheme but things spiral. Move forward. Get better. Hopefully won’t have any next year. But at some point in our future Manning will have a couple too. It’s football and nobody is perfect. We all expected 2-4 losses. I hope we can win out. I’d consider it a success.
  3. I’m sure they tried to drum up some because one point the host guy who I can’t remember remarked how they were agreeing on everything. It’s a wash because if Yordan gets left field whoever we put at DH is demolished by Harper. I think they really just wanted to talk Yordan and Harper head to head. I was kind of surprised Hoskins over Yuli. Both guys were about left for dead a few weeks ago and have come alive in playoffs.
  4. They considered Mancini the left fielder. Yordan was the DH with Harper for Philly.
  5. As a Titans fan I am happy that they have played both their games this year and I can root for Sam every week here on out. Go get em.
  6. Does Maldonado have a new glove? Closing his eyes? Wtf? That run is on him.
  7. Bring back scheduled doubleheaders or eliminate games to shorten season. Adding another round of playoffs makes no sense when the weather in the north and east already sucks in October. I know season started late this year but 5 years ago I left my good friends wedding reception to watch the Astros in World Series. Now we aren’t even to World Series and my friend just filed for divorce. We can fix one.
  8. I posted on Facebook that someone needs to sacrifice a live rooster for Altuve. My friend went outside and shot his rooster. Altuve gets a double. I’m gonna see how many roosters he has.
  9. Bijan gonna have 2 bills rushing if he gets the touches.
  10. Game 3 haiku Astros in New York New Yorkers smell like da feet Kick Cole’s sorry ass
  11. Can we name Espada the manager-in-waiting? I mean it’s worked so well in college football lol I was really hoping we would win Dusty his WS this year and he would ride off into the sunset. Not because he is a bad manager but just for the long term success and continuity of the team. We still have a young core and obviously Dusty can’t go on forever. But anyone who saw his interview yesterday knew he wasn’t leaving and it would take some big stones by the Astros to ask him to leave. He said if he wins one then he wants to win two and TBS called him a MLB legend and a hero and role model for black and Latino players. Don’t disagree with any of that but the PR blow back would be huge if Astros asked him to leave even to hire Espada who is Latino. See you with a ring in ‘23, Dusty.
  12. Wow is all I can say.
  13. I should know that. Lol Happens every time. I hope we score some runs so we see Dubon
  14. If the roof was closed Mancini might PH for Diaz next time but does anyone trust Mancini in the wind in left? I guess Dubon could play left. And I’d rather have Frambers breaking shit against Abreu fastballs next inning against Judge and Stanton.
  15. Sometimes I just wondered if he didn’t realize that a AAA throw won’t work in the big time. But his throws did start weak and have gotten better.
  16. Nice play Peña
  17. Altuve was as hot as he could be at seasons end. The layoff affect is real.
  18. Altuve looking for Mancini-esque.
  19. That wind is crazy. Our outfield is shaky as it is, having roof open wasn’t a smart decision if it was ours.
  20. This ump is trash. How the f is he in a championship series?
  21. Well I think there’s our lineup answer
  22. I would not hate Hensley getting a chance. I really don’t remember a bad at bat from him. I’d rather see him get his feet wet at home than at Yankee stadium but I also expect Mancini to be at DH or LF tonight.
  23. So we thinking same lineup tonight?
  24. I don’t know who has wanted what but it seems it always been a league decision. At least this last run of playoffs. As for esthetics, I love open air stadiums. And going to be a great night. But for the Astros, I can see where it can feel like you have lived in a house for 10 years and walk in and the furniture has been moved. Same house, same furniture but something doesn’t feel quite right. Don’t think it will or should be an issue but the home field advantage is about being comfortable in your house. Any decision against what the Astros want is bogus.
