  1. Truth. Unfortunately hospitalization is a lagging indicator.
  2. A couple of weeks ago people were pretty accepting of the "add a zero to the number of cases" train of thought. I know I'm an alarmist, but at this point in the game I personally wouldn't be surprised if it was like 3 zeros.
  3. Tin foil hat question: If the governments of the world knew this was going to turn out very, very badly would they inform the public? Normalcy bias Somnio: You're right, she's probably dealing with some other personal issues. This is going to suck, but nothing will really change. In a year from now at most we'll all be looking back at this epedemic and laugh at how it was blown out of proportion.
  4. Skip to about 6:30 minutes and watch. She's not saying anything particularly noteworthy, but she is barely holding it together. This woman is a professional, and has seen some shit. It makes me wonder what information she is privy to that would cause her to almost tear up at a press conference. Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but I don't think she would have had a moment like this for "just a bad strain of the flu" when she's been knee deep in Ebola and SARS outbreaks. Her credentials: https://www.spph.ubc.ca/person/bonnie-henry/
  5. I mean it certainly appears to be the case. It is shocking to realize. Even if you believe in small, limited government I would think coordinating a plan to deal with a global pandemic would fall under the federal government's duties.
  6. But the sunshine pumpers on here have been telling us we we're just a bunch of idiots, and this virus ain't shit. But who to believe?!? Shaggy experts, or the fear monger on the video?!?
  7. Just wanted to reference OP's first post roughly 6 weeks ago. There are more than 500 confirmed cases and 17 people have died.
  8. Shouldn't we all take the "recovered" numbers with a grain of salt as well? Unless it was proven untrue, and I missed it, people labeled recovered have tested positive again.
  9. What about Italy? Things are looking just as bad there as in Iran.
  10. But what of the crimes of the Longhorn coaching staff?
  11. If it kills too many too quickly it will fizzle out before it has the chance to be badass pandemic, not some little bitchass wannabe.
  12. Bro, by April we're in the clear! Chillax and have a Corona with lime! The citrus tastes great, and boosts your immune system!
  13. Hey, that can buy a whole lot of $1,000 boxes of latex gloves!
  14. Latest S. Korean data: 5,621 infected 35 deaths 52 serious/critical 34 recovered
  15. Has anyone looked at the map of infections on BNO? I've watched it expand from China, to now the whole world. It has me thinking, I don't think anyone alive has experienced what's taking place right now. Sure, there have been disasters all over the world, but they have always been somewhat localized. A hurricane here, an earthquake there, a disease outbreak somewhere, and so and so forth. This however is the entire globe. And it's in slow motion.
  16. Fake news. They're all working their way through law school. These girls are the future of America.
  17. Yes, I looked at an Iranian tourist pamphlet, and it looked like the land of milk and honey. Must've been 'shopped.
