  1. You deserved your gross burger for typing, "Manchac". Also for going to Whataburger when Dan's is across the street. Whataburger is great and all, but come on man.
  2. It's gonna be great. I liked the Big 12 before the bitches left. At that point it was a dead man walking. A move had to happen, and the SEC makes the most sense.

I concur. Everytime I start to believe the team has turned the corner they have disappointed. After Houston, I looked at the schedule and thought August was going to be the month. Go undefeated, nearly double their points, and get into playoff contention. At least to me it seemed reasonable at the time. Oh well.

At least Driussi did have a shot on goal in his limited minutes. That's something I guess.

Striker from Senegal will save the season? When does he arrive again?

Interesting. Pochettino, Dominguez, Kolmanic, Lima as well. My hunch is we'll be using all 5 substitutions tonight. Strong group to bring in as relief. This should be interesting.
  7. Thank goodness the council defunded the police, and the District and County attorneys aren't prosecuting criminals APD arrests. I for one feel much safer and more progressive due to their noble actions.

Driussi will score his first 4 MLS goals tonight in front of 15,000 Austin FC fans in FC Frisco's own stadium.

This is the one where you're supposed to bring out your phone with the flashlight on. I think the song is catchy. The flashlight thing? I don't love it, but it doesn't bother me either.

I'm not sure why it looks so dark on tv, because it is not in person. It's actually really cool. Here's a photo that shows a more accurate idea of what the stadium looks like after a goal.
  11. Cuz Mack is a bitch. Mofo should've had at least 4 or 5, and at least 1 or 2 more national titles.
  12. List of things I've seen done in/around Austin the last 20 years everyone said would never happen... Built a pretty massive skyline including 4 new tallest, with the 5th under construction. Tallest building in Texas proposed, with a very legit chance to be built. 100+ miles of toll roads built. Billions of dollars approved to finally rebuild I-35 including tunneling through the central sections. 7 billion dollar light rail approved and funded, including downtown subway. Cota, F1, MotoGP Q2 Stadium, Austin FC The population growth would continue to accelerate to the point that the metro now averages 50,000 or more new people every year. I'm sure I've forgotten a bunch of other stuff, but I think my point is clear. Anyone doubting Austin is stuck in the past. This is a major city now, and there's not much at this point that could happen that should surprise anyone. The next decade is going to put to bed any lingering doubts that lil ole Austin ain't just a big college town anymore.
  13. Regardless if this happens or not, I fully expect Austin will now be one of the markets that gets mentioned for expansion and/or relocation. Given it's market size, growth, and disposable income it is an attractive target. Also, I believe Austin FC getting a deal done, and the support they've received has opened some eyes. Also, Texas has 30 million people and 4 separate "major league" markets now. Any argument stating the state can't support another NFL team just doesn't make sense.
  14. They can expand the Toilet Bowl for NFL, and the Bears can go play at a local high school stadium.
  15. Wilco would be my guess. I could see them pay for a stadium. And the majority of Austin and it's large suburbs are in the north quadrant. And a detail of relative minor importance, but still worth mentioning is Bell County abuts Williamson County. That's nearly 400,000 more folks that are nearby. Lots of Ft. Hood peeps come to Austin on the reg.
  16. I'm not buying this rumor, but Austin's size would not be the reason it won't happen. As you said Buffalo and Jacksonville are smaller. Other smaller sized or similarly sized markets would be New Orleans, Nashville, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Milwaukee, Las Vegas, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and St. Louis. The metro is now about 2.3 million people, and has been one of, if not the fastest growing in the country for decades.
