  1. Hanging breaking ball on a tee and he goes down looking. Ouch.
  2. Manny steals 2nd, takes 3rd on a wild pitch, and Hosmer drives him in to tie it up in the bottom of the 9th. Great game
  3. I think that’s a better track record than the vast majority of teams, but I could be wrong
  4. I feel like we’re pretty damn good in the 3rd round. We generally suck in round 2 but round 3 is a money spot for us most years
  5. Lol what? The jags have already given Lawrence the playbook. Do you mean 3rd?
  6. Jazz Chisholm with the eurostep on his hr off of Charlie Morton I really hope this kid is legit. He’s got some swag.
  7. Man, if we could get kiper’s scenario and end up with Horn that would be pretty sick. You’d have to get a good haul for a qb trade up in the top 10 so if we did AND got Horn that’s easily best case scenario. Again, hopefully Miami or Atlanta just takes Pitts so we don’t have to cross that bridge.
  8. Shit, look at Jeff Okudah last year. Number 3 overall pick, everyone’s number one corner by a wide margin heading into the draft, and I definitely wouldn’t trade Diggs for him straight up.
  9. For the record, I do agree with the bold. You should be able to get a decent haul for a qb prospect like Lance. I could easily see us fucking it up though and not getting the right amount of value. And if that’s what’s going to happen I’d rather just say fuck it and take Pitts. Let’s put it that way.
  10. We got trade raped when we traded down with the 49ers back in ‘13. If we didn’t luck out and draft Travis Fredrick, that would’ve been a god awful trade. But it’s just a ridiculous scenario according to Doc. Even though it’s happened with our own team before lol. As soon as I saw his response I don’t know why I took the bait.
  11. Jesus fucking Christ. You’ve now either ducked two questions or you didn’t read either. First I say what if you can’t trade down and you don’t answer. Then I say what if you don’t get good value, aka would you trade down for pennies on the dollar. You ducked that question too. How about just say you don’t have a good answer or answer either fucking question lol. Because it’s a realistic possibility whether you like it or not.
  12. Lol did you read my post? I said if you can’t trade down. If nobody wants to trade up you can’t trade down. Unless you’re willing to give up the 10th pick for pennies on the dollar. Is that what you were saying they should do in that situation? Just give up 10th pick for the 26th pick and a bag of balls?
  13. Jags-Lawrence Jets-Wilson 49ers-Jones Falcons-Fields Bengals-Sewell Dolphins-Chase Lions-Slater Panthers-Waddle Broncos-Surtain Dallas-??? Dont you almost have to take Pitts there? You’d think we could trade out of that pick with Trey Lance still on the board, but what if you can’t? Reach for Horn or Parsons? Because if you can’t trade out of that pick in this scenario, you’re picking between those 3 guys. Pitts is CLEARLY the best player on the board in that scenario. Hope he goes before we pick so we don’t have to make that decision, but I don’t think the scenario I just listed is that crazy...
  14. My apologies. I was off by one year. Not sure why I remembered seeing them 9th in 2018. So 3 of 5 years they were top 5 (including 2017 and 2019 where we missed the playoffs), one year they were in the top half at 14, and last year they were dog shit like we all knew they were. My original point still stands. Outside of last year, it’s never been a bad offensive line. This idea that it has been anything other than a good offensive line (outside of last year) is just false when compared to the rest of the league. We have to stop comparing it to what it looked like in 2014 and 2016 and compare it to the rest of the league.
  15. I don’t know if they do it weekly, or quarterly in the season (and I’m sure as shit not about to go digging right now), but PFF puts out their grades for how each unit does on both offense and defense. Then at the end of the year, they take their averages and give an end of season yearly ranking. Outside of last year, Dallas has consistently had a top 10 offensive line. Ask Russell Wilson what a shit offensive line looks like. Ask Matt Stafford what a shit offensive line looks like. Ask Watson. Hell, ask Andy Dalton last year what a shit offensive line looks like. Every oline has injuries, and nobody has depth on the oline. Great oline play is rare. Throughout most of Dak’s career, plenty of qbs and coaches would trade their oline situation for ours. That’s the main point I’m getting at in all of this. It’s never been “bad”, comparatively speaking, outside of last year.
  16. Same conversation, different day. drew: the oline isn’t that good. me: but PFF does this for a living and it’s been top 10 literally every season except last year throughout Dak’s career. You have to compare it to the other lines in the league. drew: PFF ShmeFF. I trust my eyes more than PFF. Unless they fit my narrative of course. Then I agree with PFF. let me just save you a few keystrokes so we don’t clog up the thread with the exact same debate.
  17. I’d be curious to know how many of those games we won without either Tyron smith or Zach Martin in the lineup. I’d guess not very many, but that’s a complete guess
  18. Which is why I’ve always found it impossible to believe that outside of last year, Dak has played with anything other than a top 10 offensive line (especially when you throw Collins into the mix). Doesn’t matter. They aren’t that anymore. But I always thought that was a dumb argument.
  19. If it wasn’t for the injuries and for him sitting out a year, Farley would probably be a better prospect than Surtain. His tape is more impressive according to most scouts. He’s a lot faster (and plays a lot faster), and he has a knack for getting his hands on the ball. Plus, he has a little more of that “dog” mentality than Surtain does. But the injuries...
  20. Maybe I just foolishly want to believe Jerry isn’t that dumb, but I think the Pitts stuff is a smoke screen.
  21. I agree with you about guard and center for the most part. We kinda got lucky with Zach Martin and Travis Fredrick. But tackle? You need a first round tackle.
  22. Honestly I was mainly talking about his first sentence. Most good corners are found in the top 100 picks. Rb is arguably the most replaceable position in football outside of maybe LB. But other than that I agree with most of what you said.
  23. This is just a bad take for so many different reasons...
