  1. No question. Although I will say, the reason I had the Crabtree catch and the Ray Allen corner 3 ahead was for two main reasons. I know we were one strike away twice, but baseball is a weird sport with no clock. For whatever reason, I just feel like anything can happen in baseball a lot more often than any other sport. I never truly felt like we had it in the bag the same way I thought we had that tech game and that Spurs game in the bag. I was past the point of counting my chickens before they hatched. I was counting my chicken’s chickens. Plus I was shit faced drunk for both of those games with a ton of people, so it just felt a lot more devastating for me. It lingered with me a lot longer
  2. For sure. I guess my main point was look at the reasons the teams he referenced turned it around so quickly. One team went from having a qb that turned the ball over 35+ times to having the GOAT. The other team has, in my personal opinion, one of the 5 best head coaches in the league. Both had elite defenses the years they won. We don’t have a HOF qb, and both areans and Shanahan run circles around fat fuck from a coaching and game planning standpoint. So here we are...
  3. I think all Texans can relate to this one right now. No explanation needed.
  4. This was easily one of my greatest sports memories haha. Fuck everyone who called that a boring finals (even though I’m sure it wasn’t aesthetically pleasing). That game 5 was intense. That pistons team was the best team the Spurs ever played in the finals IMO, and if the pistons take game 5 they probably win in 6.
  5. I mean shit, you could say the same about the 49ers with Shanahan. Shanahan runs circles around McCarthy, just like Bruce Areans does. But Jerry got mesmerized by McCarthy when he really should’ve been mesmerized by Rodgers.
  6. In my book, he's the most underrated player in college football history. He's still a face of the program, but he's not really perceived as an all time tier 1 great. He's next tier. I've said it before but his last two years he effectively left the field in every game with a lead. So even though he never won a championship, that is noteworthy and pretty much all you can ask of your QB. He was not surrounded by great talent. He was jobbed out of the Heisman as much as anyone. Stats, wins, importance to his team, great plays - he had it all in 2008. And his departure was not the only reason but us having a losing record the season after his departure does say a great deal. In 2009, he wasn't as good but no way in hell Ingram should have gotten the Heisman. McCoy pretty got little benefit of his great career in that vote. I completely agree with the bolded part. Like, the single most underrated player. One Natty on his resume and he’s talked about in the same breath as Tebow IMO.
  7. I will say this. I do take pleasure in knowing that the answer to this question for everyone associated with USC will always be “fucking Vince Young, man.”
  8. I don’t disagree, but having a national title on his resume adds so much to that resume. I think even the most biased Texas fan would agree with that. It’s why people talk about Tebow the way they do.
  9. It’s a two way tie between the Crabtree catch/Gideon drop in 08, and the Ray Allen corner 3 when the Spurs had that championship in the fucking bag. A lot of legacies would’ve been different if those two outcomes turn out differently. Colt would be widely regarded as one of the best qbs ever in college football if we went on and finished that season off undefeated. Mack would have 2 championships, and he probably never gets mesmerized by Bama (and never changes the offense ultimately ruining GG’s career). For as great as Duncan is, there’s a huge difference between 5 titles and 6 titles. 6 gives him more than Kobe, just as many as Jordan, and he would’ve been a perfect 6-0 in the finals. A two way tie for 2nd would be the 2006 WCF against the mavs (where Manu fouled Dirk for a 3 point play to send it to OT in game 7), and game 6 of the World Series in 2011.
  10. Sounds corny, but I’m trying to find a video of Usman and Burns embracing at the end of the fight. You can tell they’re really good friends. A lot of times it’s more intense going up against your close friends than your worst enemies, and I thought that was a really cool moment between Usman and Burns at the end of the fight.
  11. Covington is probably the next best in the division
  12. Yeah I’m sure he wasn’t already concussed and he knew exactly what he was doing lol
  13. He’s gotta climb way up the P4P rankings
  14. Holy fuck, man. What a performance
  15. Usman is fucking lights out after that early exchange
  16. Yeah she knew she had to get the finish in that round and she was a lot more aggressive than Grasso
  17. Pretty sure Grasso won the first two rounds
  18. They might’ve fucked around and won a fight of the night bonus
  19. This is actually a good ass fight. I undersold them
  20. Both are definitely attractive when they try to be
  21. Weak ass co-main
  22. Yeah not as good as I thought it would be
  23. Pretty excited for this fight if we get motivated Gastelum
