  1. I gotcha. Amin Elhassen made that exact comparison the other day on the Lebetard show, comparing Herro’s contributions in the playoffs last year to what Sam Cassell did for the rockets during their title run.
  2. You listen to the Dan Lebetard show, don’t you?
  3. I’ve heard a lot of athletes talk about even after they were cleared to play, it took them weeks if not months for their lungs to feel like they did before they got it.
  4. Getting covid probably fucks with your lungs pretty bad. Kinda need those in the NBA
  5. I think for one we should’ve been pumping the brakes on Tyler Herro. They talked about him like he was an untouchable asset when talking about Bradley Beal. Jack Harlow is out here making a song about him lol. He’s a nice young player that has shown a lot of promise, but I think the bubble was a bit of a mirage for him.
  6. This one is just setting up for the bucs to steal one, isn’t it:
  7. He had a better season than I thought he had. I’ll admit that. Maybe I’m not giving him enough credit.
  8. I disagree. Ryan is washed. And he’s really never been good without a healthy Julio. I’d take jimmy g over Ryan right now, but I’d personally take cousins over both in a heartbeat.
  9. I know this is just me viewing things through my cowboys glasses, but I really do think they were trying to beat us to the punch and pay Goff before we paid dak. I think that’s why the Eagles rushed to pay wentz too. They didn’t want to kick the can down the road and make the same mistake that we’re making
  10. I don’t necessarily think Goff is as bad as some, but when Goff was good, gurley was the best running back in the league. You can say this about a lot of guys, but he’s a classic example of a guy that desperately needs to have play action to take pressure off of him. Stafford has never been that guy. Stafford is easily a top 10 guy when healthy.
  11. So apparently Kyle Shanahan is really interested in linking back up with Kirk cousins, and they’ve been throwing bait out there for Minnesota. That would be something. Cousins was really good with Shanahan, and I think he’s a pretty underrated qb. People like to shit on him because he’s not perfect, but if he’s back with Shanahan that’s an upgrade over Jimmy G, and Shanahan knows that.
  12. Exactly. It was an NBA trade. Stafford is worth a 1st and a 3rd. The extra 1st was “please take this god awful contract off our hands”. It’s like what the Texans did when they traded Brock Osweiler and his bad contract to the browns for a 2nd round pick. It’s a great move for the Lions, and it’s a bold move for the Rams. I personally think it makes the Rams the favorites in the NFC, but if Stafford gets seriously injured like he’s known to do, that’s just a brutal trade for the Rams. It’ll be interesting to see what Stafford can do with a running game for the first time in his career, and an offensive mind like McVay. It is hilarious though to see how they’re trying to squeeze everything they can out of this 2-3 year window. They haven’t made a first round pick since they drafted Goff in 2016, and they won’t have one until 2023. That’s fucking wild.
  13. That was the weakest, horseshit, back breaking tech I’ve seen in a long fucking time. Stfu Dickie V. It’s a big game and it’s been chippy. He didn’t even say anything.
  14. I guess I heard this story wrong when I heard about it the other day. I thought it was Sean who asked Casey if he’d smash Megan Anderson, but it was his coach Tim (who’s also a fucking idiot) on Sean’s podcast. It was dumb to answer the question honestly, but IMO it’s equally as dumb to even ask the question on something that’s going to be heard by so many people. Here’s the clip right here: Also, just to drive home my original point, Sean’s take on trying Heroin...
  15. Sean O’Malley is a fucking clown. He’s a sore loser, and as you can see, he talks like an idiot. I enjoy watching him fight, but man I wouldn’t mind seeing him get KO’d.
  16. Yes, that's what I mean. Remove Taysom Hill from the lineup due to injury then Bucs win the last one. They move on even though the Saints won the first two. Bucs didn't really prove to me they're better overall. They just won the last one. Some people prefer that system, which is fine. I view that as a flaw in that system, if the goal is to find the best team. Those are one off situations that rarely happen. The under 500 team rarely makes the playoff in this format. The teams from the same division rarely play each other a 3rd time. The 3-7 high school team is part of a 64 team playoff and they get dominated in the first round. These are all situations that rarely happen. But every year I have a group of dipshits that tell me “according to my eye test, these are the 4 best teams.” That’s ridiculous lol. I can understand why you might like college football more. The tradition, the passionate fans. I get it. The nfl is just personal preference for me. But there’s absolutely no valid argument for how college football decides its champion being better than any other sport. It is clearly the worst way to decide your champion. Hell, there’s an even larger pool of idiots that decide who the best teams are before the season even starts. So when you beat a #7 Georgia team that has no business being ranked there, you get more credit than you should.
  17. I don’t just think it’s better because of the playoff. I just think it’s a much better product. I think it’s more aesthetically pleasing to watch the best of the best athletes. The players are faster, there’s more parity, I get really into the draft where I couldn’t care less about recruiting. Over the last 11 years, all but 3 teams have made it to the conference championship game in the NFC. College football is Bama, Clemson, Ohio state, and everyone else. I like college football. Don’t get me wrong. It’s the next best version of football, and it’s still football. I just personally like the nfl a lot more. 2008 scarred me for life and I’ll never view college football the same. It’s a beauty pageant, like I said.
  18. Stop thinking about it like they traded two firsts for Stafford. Think of it like an NBA trade. They traded one first rounder for Stafford, which he is absolutely worth, and a first rounder so the Lions would take on Goff’s god awful contract. That’s how badly McVay felt like he couldn’t win with Goff. He was willing to do that because he knows his window is about 2-3 more years and he knows with certainty that he can’t win with Goff. It’s a bold move. Some might say it’s dumb. But the dumb thing was paying Goff when they did. I think this makes them the favorites in the NFC.
  19. Who gives a fuck about the pro bowl. Since when has that been a measuring stick for anything lol. This isn’t baseball. He hasn’t made pro bowls because of injuries. He’s actually the prototype for the probowl because of his projected stats every year and the fact that he plays for the worst organization in the sport so he doesn’t have to worry about getting deep into the postseason. The Rams had to give up that 2nd first round pick so they could trade Goff’s contract. He’s clearly better than Goff. Anyone with a brain can see that. How much better, I guess we’ll find out. But it’s an upgrade for sure. It just boils down to health with Stafford. If he gets hurt like he always does, this is a disaster.
  20. Senior bowl practice week has always been important for draft stock. You can’t necessarily hurt it that much I guess, but you can definitely raise your stock tremendously. We’ve seen it happen on numerous occasions. The game itself isn’t important though.
  21. 8 is fine. Just put P5 in one division and non P5 in a completely different division all together, and make it to where the two teams don’t even play each other. And if they do play, make it where it just doesn’t count like when the SEC plays their one cupcake game. edit: sorry for detailing the shit out of this thread. Let’s get back to how Sam all but guaranteed that he isn’t getting drafted.
  22. My main point is there should probably be a 16 team playoff where literally every division one conference champ gets a spot in the playoff and then have like 5 at large teams. We can do this all day, or just agree to disagree. But yes, ND should’ve gotten in over aggy in the current 4 team playoff system that we have. But if you run through your schedule and lose one game, common sense would say you should probably have a chance at playing in your sports postseason. We just don’t have enough spots
  23. College football is apples to oranges. Nfl, high school, pop Warner, literally ever other level. If you win your division or conference you earn a spot in the playoff. That’s usually the point of divisions and conferences. But again, to each their own. I understand why some like college football more.
  24. To each there own. I prefer when my sports are decided on the field. Not when they resemble beauty pageants. I don’t like Aggy, but it would be foolish to think that a one loss aggy didn’t deserve a crack at competing for a championship. But they weren’t as pretty as ND, and they’ll never be as pretty as ND. So we can all laugh at them. If that was Texas in that exact same spot with that exact same record, we get in. Because historically, we’re “prettier” than aggy, and the judges like that in the beauty pageant that is the college football playoff.
