  1. If someone tried to rescue someone who had already entered South Austin's mom, they're both going to be lost to the abyss. Also, dumb question, and sorry if its already been asked... If these people are so fit, why can't they swim?
  2. JD Vance wants to proclaim Prima Nocta on all our BarcaLoungers!
  3. Yep. When they go low, you don’t go high. You curb stomp them.
  4. Got a cool little pedal that works great with these UAFX amp pedals. Basically adds a headphone out and aux to your pedalboard and allows it to work as a nice practice amp. Use headphones to keep things quiet then put backing tracks in over the aux in to jam out.
  5. You're not wrong, but it says as much about Trump and Republicans and what they are trying to force on voters as it does about Dem political acumen.
  6. This is a dangerous time for Trump. When he's causing chaos and disrupting the federal government, he's a useful idiot to many here and abroad. If he just becomes a failed politician with no ability to fuck up the federal government, he's far more useful to those same people as a martyr.
  7. Somewhere DJT is screaming, “DO YOU SEE WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENS WHEN YOU TRY TO WORK WITH THESE PEOPLE??!!
  8. And now I'll provide a brief musical synopsis of Pimphand's posts in this thread from yesterday. Sheeple are strange When you're a stranger Faces look ugly When you're alone Women seem wicked When you're unwanted Polls mean nothing When you're down When you're strange You relish in other's pain When you're strange Everyone else is to blame When you're strange When you're strange When you're strange
  9. Man, everyone has already articulately described Walz and his performance today. I'll just say this: He's got Mack Brown's charisma, Winston Churchill's pugnaciousness and Abraham Lincoln's righteous cause. He's got all the tools and ingredients to lead a populist movement that enchants 60-70% of U.S. voters.
  10. Yeah, go get an airbnb for a week in January and make sure you want that for 5-6 months out of the year. Art of the Deal
  11. Who knows if that is true. But if it is, I think the right is failing to recognize that the Dem's are igniting their own populist movement rooted in hope vs hate.
  12. Compare and contrast that first tweet against what people who have worked with Trump have to say.
  13. Absofuckinglutely. Different people have said it at various times here, but most people are sick and fucking tired of living with the political brinksmanship. Sick of feeling fear, dread, hate and divisiveness. Collectively, voters were in desperate need of a shot of adrenal hope. At least those that aren't weird -- which are the voters who would never riot at either the capital or in Portland. The momentum swing after Biden stepped aside shows this. Walz is going to continue that momentum and you can crash on his sofa without having to check it with a black light first.
  14. Jenna Ellis taking a life raft off the capsizing SS Trump is some evidence that A) Trump's 2nd presidency is mostly about avoiding punishment for crimes committed during the first and that B) the ability for Trump to win the election is looking...
  15. Stick with Biden, when they go low you go high, a criminal could never be electable… Politics ain’t what they used to be. One of the more encouraging things about the pivot to Kamala is that the Dems seem to understand this now and are acting accordingly. Make it Walz or Pete and continue the trend of boldly giving the politically agnostic a refreshing alternative to both politics as usual and endgame MAGA. I don’t know enough about Beshear to include him on that list. I know enough about Shapiro to leave him off.
